Physical stimming gets a lot of support on tumblr, and that makes me very happy to see! But i very rarely see people talk about verbal/auditory stims. For example, repitition of words is a very common way it manifests.
People who stim audibly get branded as annoying, intentionally disruptive, attention seekers, embarassing, cringy etc. Verbal stims can be just as subconcious as physical stimming. Please be open and understanding to verbal stimmers!

This video doesnāt show up in YouTubeās search field, even if you look for it by name with the name of the channel appended to it. Itās a three week old video, so their excuse that it sometimes takes a few days for the search algo to propagate through the entire system is no longer plausible.
To find this video, you must navigate to the creatorās account, go to their videos, go to their chronological upload list, log in, click through two consent gates, and then finally the video loads.
According to Second Thought, the creator in question, YouTube has only answered with lies when asked about why this is so.
Does that seem normal to you? Does that seem like the sort of thing that should happen in a free country?
Remember that before the Holocaust, there were 16 million Jews in the world. They killed more than a third of us.
Remember that pre-war Eastern Europe was a major center of world Jewry, and it had a thriving Jewish society with Yiddish theater, poetry, literature, art, and political activism. An entire society was destroyed.
Remember that before the war, a third of Warsawās population was Jewish. The vast majority of those Jewish residents were murdered.
Remember that Salonika (Thessaloniki) was a city in Greece that had a Jewish majority for hundreds of years. It used to be known as Sabatopolis ā the Shabbat city ā because before electric light, ships going by on Friday night would see a dark shoreline because the residents could not light lights. In the 16th century, it was known as the āmother of Israelā and was a center of Jewish life where Eastern European Jews would come to visit and study. Fewer than 1800 Jews from Salonika survived the Holocaust.
Remember that in Krakow, what used to be the Jewish quarter is now a tourist trap for the groups who come to look at what once was. The Jewish community owns several beautiful synagogues but only regularly uses one because there are so few Jews left. Without the tour groups who regularly pray with them, they would have trouble getting a quorum of ten men by the beginning of the Shabbat service. The other synagogues are museums now.
Remember what we lost.
every holocaust memorial day, i always ask people to keep romani people in their thoughts, but this year iād like to clear up some misconceptions that i see every year w/ a psa
romani people are not white. weāre south asian (from northern india), and each subgroup has a unique racial makeup of asian/white/etc, in different amounts. this is also why we vary wildly in physical appearance/skintone
we still face oppression.Ā what we face, especially in europe, can still be constituted as attempted genocide, as weāre forced to live in hazardous conditions or to give away our children, be sterilized, etc just for the crime of being roma
theĀ āg slurā isnāt just an american issue. the reason some european roma preferĀ the slur is because, in many countries, there is no term for roma that isnāt a slur, and itās either the g slur or the literal translation of the n word. iām romanian, and if you used the slur in my hometown, youād get slapped, since we just useĀ āromaā.
we live in every continent across the world.Ā some of the largest romani populations exist in south america, predominantly in brazil. they are no more and no less roma than their european counterparts, and they, like romani in asia, africa, etc all face unique challenges and oppression.
weāre the largest ethnic minority in europe, and yet have almost no political power, no land ownership power (in some places, weāre forbidden from owning land entirely), etc. with very few reputable charities- a lot of us reject charity by principle, as well as there being a general lack of education about us- the best thing you can do to help romani people is to just spread information, and help individuals when you can.
Wow, fuck every single one of you
Actually no I'm not done talking about this. The reason so many of them are voting to dismiss the charges is because they think its unfair to pursue impeachment now that Trump is out of the Whitehouse. He's not in the role anymore, they say, so what does it matter.
This is such a fucking dangerous precedent, holy shit.
If they pursue this, it means that any president can do whatever the FUCK they want in their last days, and there is a precedent for letting them get away with it. As long as they're out of the Whitehouse before impeachment charges can be brought against them, it means they get off Scott free. It also means that if a president does something impeachable, and then quits, that theyre also able to dodge accountability and legal ramifications.
This sets such a dangerous precedent, you guys.
If you have a Republican Senator, now is a VERY GOOD TIME to call them and chew them out about this.
Hedge funds shorted more than 100% of all shares of gamestop, to do this that means they had to sell more shares than actually existed.
The hedge funds never actually owned these shares to begin with because they were short selling so they never actually paid for them.
Redditors saw this and decided to buy up all these shorted shares to gamestop a company that wasnt failing that the hedge funds would then be forced to buy back as they never actually owned the shares.
The beauty of this is if you knew what to look for you couldāve seen this coming too. It isnāt mystical, it isnāt magic. They made these billionaires pay back more than what they basically stole by being greedy, this is a good thing.
Let me explain a bit
rich hedge funds have the ability to sell stocks they havent paid for yet that other people actually own and then pay for them after a certain amount of time. they can sell these stocks trade them whatever but they will eventually have to buy them back.
So they shorted gamestop shares from 20 dollars all the way down to 3 dollars, meaning they borrowed shares to then massively sell.
they sold shares at like 20 dollars and then 18, etc. and because when investors see massive amounts of shares being sold they get nervous and then sell their shares which drives the price of the stock ever further down.
so they took something worth 20 that they sold for 20 dollars and all its downward prices and instead of paying for it at $3 dollars they thought theyd CONTINUE to short the market, meaning they kept driving the prices down because apparently this obscene amount of money wasnt good enough.
Redditors who dont say the stock market is magic and mystical astrology saw this very obvious evidence that these hedge funds would be forced to buy back all these fucking gamestop shares and decided to drive the price of these shares up knowing that the hedge funds would then be forced to buy back the shares they have yet to pay for at increasingly wild prices.
what they were looking for was over 100% of all stocks shorted on a company that wasnt even failing or in complete disarray
they used this knowledge to bring stock that was 20 dollars brought down to $3 all the way back up to $140
the hedge funds still have to pay for all of those shares they never technically even owned in the first place which these redditors knew so they held onto these stocks they bought in a company whose shares were oversold.
INSTEAD of acknowledging this they decided to have media campaigns lie and make the stock market look even more mystical and crazy to people who dont know shit about finance so that your average folks wouldnt catch them in the act of just getting a fucking 2 billion dollar bailout for being greedy fucking pieces of shit.
They also dont want your average person to KNOW they do this shit especially when they drive shares so deep into the ground ($3)
TL;DR: Every time you call the stock market magic and mystical and ooo makes no sense, you pretty much allow these motherfuckers to get away with robbery of the average person (given a government bailout is paying for this)
Understanding how these things happen and knowing what to look for allows people to work together and not only stop it but rob back from the billionaires when they pull this shit.
financial illiteracy isnt helpful to anyone.
my point about financial illiteracy isnt to make anyone feel bad itās more saying you shouldnt repeat the myth that these things dont make any sense especially when something like this happens because very set laws and rules allowed for this to happen and mystifying that only benefits hedge funds who dont want people catching them doing this.
i donāt even want to hear anyone defending the biden administration after this. fucking unbelievably cruel to dangle a $15 minimum wage over our heads but only if we keep the democrats in power until the next presidential election. just making it as easy as possible for the republicans to reverse if they want to. useless useless party
yeah i sure hope thereās no senate or presidential elections between now and 2025 that could allow the republicans to re-consolidate power and halt or reverse this drip-feed legislative reform
what you guys arent getting is that $15 was needed about a decade ago. making this legislation so gradual that it only reaches $15 after 5 god damn years is nothing. a dollar and a half increase every year is nothing. the living wage will be far above $15 an hour by the time we reach it. this is the bare minimum required to sustain capitalism as a system - people wonāt by products if they arenāt getting paid enough to live. this is, in every sense, an attempt to meekly maintain the status quo. this is not a painful concession to the ruling class, this was a calculated plan to give us as little as humanly possible while simultaneously avoiding a disastrous economic downturn caused by low wages. thatās how this shit works. if it was meant to benefit us, we would be getting promised a hell of a lot more.
that is of course not even mentioning my previous point, that the republicans will likely regain control and halt this anyways. seems like the legislation requires approval each time after 2025, so weāre probably not getting shit for a while after that either.
all these people who are like ACAB AND PUNCH NAZIS are gonna see Biden lift the "trans ban" on the military and are gonna cheer his praises not comprehending their irony and idiocy
here we go
Itās not the fact that itās the military(which sucks for many reasons), but the fact that a ban on transgender people was lifted. It isnāt a great thing, but itās a step in the right direction to grow acceptance of trans people.
sending trans people to go die and/or murder overseas is not acceptance
āThe challenge of the twenty-first century is not to demand equal opportunity to participate in the machinery of oppression. Rather, it is to identify and dismantle those structures in which racism continues to be embedded. This is the only way the promise of freedom can be extended to masses of people.
[..] Those who present the gender and racial composition of the U.S. military as a dramatic example of equality offered by democracy have clearly lost sight of whatever promise democracy might hold for the future. Gender equality in the military is represented was the equal opportunity to participate in every aspect of military life, including equal opportunity to participate in violence previously assumed to be the purview of men. This approach to equality leaves no space to challenge the status quo. [..] [This] equality is measured in terms of acess to repressive institutions that remain unchanged or even become strengthened by the admission of those who were previously barred [..].ā
