Cosmo and Soju got neutered and cleared to live with the girls! Everyone got upgraded to the big cage, and intros went amazing! As you can see in my video, Mo is living his dream of having a lady rat sleep right on top of him like a pillow.
Cage renovation!! Girls got a third add-on to the side of their double critter nation this weekend. They love their new space and are big fans of throwing their substrate out of the dig bins. They’re also fans of running on their wheel at high speed and then suddenly stopping and letting it fling them back and forth!

Here’s Blub 2 weeks after we first got him! Immediately colored up nicely. He’s a treat, begs for food all day, and absolutely utilized all 6.8 gallons of this thing. Don’t worry, we upgraded him soon after this.

Plant tank at work is thriving now that I took over, the chain swords specifically with some healthy new growth.

My rats went to Ratapalooza in OR last weekend! They were such great sports, we were located right by the entrance so they greeted every single guest who came in. We did not enter the rat show this time, it was my girls first time in such a big public outing and they did amazing! Maybe next time we’ll enter a contest.
Blub’s 6.8g was traded in for a 13g rimless so we can get some Pygmy corydoras!!

Forgot to post these, this was the day we brought home Blub!
The 6.8g got some plants today! During our water change log yesterday we found our first presence of nitrites and decided to grab some plants! Hopefully just a few more weeks before we’ll see a balanced cycle, and can think about adding fish!
New scape on the 6.8g shallow tank done by my little sister. Everyone tell her how nice it looks! She’s very excited for a prospective fish to explore this tank and her “decoration playground.”
Duck is loving her new home. Technically it’s the home she’s had for a year and a half but it’s been redecorated again. I’ve got some plants coming in the mail to help spice up her’s and the other dishes tanks.
