Handy Home Tips: Make-do hair spray
Save money on hair spray (or if you've run out!):
Getting ready for a big night out and realise you're out of hair spray? Try dissolving a tablespoon of sugar in a glass of hot water, wait till it cools and then put into a spray bottle. It's effective and environmentally friendly, too!

Easily clean your iron:
To clean the underneath, wipe it with a cloth soaked in cold tea. This will remove stains immediately.

Avoid spending money on expensive cleaning products:
To clean, put a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda down the sink followed by two tablespoons of vinegar, and let stand.

To add shine, after shampooing rinse your hair with fresh brewed black coffee which you have cooled, followed by cold water.

Handy Home Tips: Brittle & flaking fingernails
Avoid spending money on expensive nail treatments:
Mix 2 level teaspoons of gelatine into 1/2 a glass of fruit juice or cold water. Drink at once and repeat daily for at least 6 weeks. You should see a dramatic improvement in your nails after about 2 months.
