I remember first learning that you can cry from any emotion, that emotions are chemical levels in your brain and your body is constantly trying to maintain equilibrium. so if one emotion sky rockets, that chemical becomes flagged and signals the tear duct to open as an exit to release that emotion packaged neatly within a tear. Everything made sense after learning that. That sudden stability of your emotions after crying. How crying is often accompanied by the inability to feel any other emotion in that precise moment. And it is especially beautiful knowing that it is even possible to experience so much beauty or love or happiness that your body literally canât hold on to all of it. So what Iâve learned is that crying signifies that you are feeling as much as humanely possible and that is living to the fullest extent. So keep feeling and cry often and as much as needed
SHIT WHAT
Also let yourself cry. It really is a biochemical release valve to dump out all the chemicals that make you feel stuff.
I honestly think one reason men in western culture have so many problems is that we donât let them cry, and literally their brains get stuffed with all this crap that doesnât have a release valve. Men, please cry. Youâll feel better. Itâs ok. You are not lesser for taking care of your health.
This is why tears from different emotions look different under an electron microscope. Theyâre literally made up of different things.Â
Happy tears are structurally different than sad tears than angry tears than overwhelmed tears etc.
I looked it up, cuz that tidbit was dope to me and..

WOW!
Writing a novel when you imagine all you stories in film format is hard because thereâs really no written equivalent of âlens flareâ or âslow motion montage backed by Gregorian choirâ
You can get the same effect of a lens flare with close-detail descriptions, combined with breaks to new paragraphs.
Your slow-motion montage backed by a Gregorian choir can be done with a few technques that all involve repetition.
First is epizeuxis, the repeating of a word for emphasis.
Example:
Falling. Falling. Falling. There was nothing to keep Marie from plunging into the rolling river below. She could only hope for a miracle now, that she would come out alive somehow despite a twenty-foot drop into five-foot-deep water.
Then thereâs anaphora, where you write a number of phrases with the same words at the beginning.
There were still mages out there living in terror of shining steel armor emblazoned with the Sword of Mercy.
There were still mages out there being forced by desperation into the clutches of demons.
There were mages out there being threatened with Tranquility as punishment for their disobedience, and the threats were being made good upon.
Mages who had attempted to flee, but knew nothing of the outside world and were forced to return to their prison out of need for sustenance and shelter.
Mages who only desired to find the families they were torn from.
Mages who only wanted to see the sun.
This kind of repetition effectively slows the pace of your writing and puts the focus on that small scene. Thatâs where you get your slow pan. The same repetition also has a subtle musicality to it depending on the words you use. Thatâs where you get the same vibe as you might get from a Gregorian choir.

Character Details to Hide from Your Readers
Hiding information from your readers on purpose will help you create tension in your novel. I know this doesnât work for every novel, but if youâre writing something with elements of suspense and mystery, hiding details and revealing them later will improve your story. This also helps add dimensions to your characters and explore their motivations on a deeper level.
Here are a few things to hide about your characters to create tension:
Whether or not your protagonist is lying
Even good characters lie, especially if they feel like it will protect other people in the long run. There are ways to hint that your character is hiding the truth without actually revealing what the truth is. If your protagonist gets nervous or changes the subject when theyâre asked about a specific detail, this will help show your readers that something isnât quite right. If your characterâs deception is hidden and then revealed at the right time, youâll be able to add exciting tension and shock value to your story.
Who the real villain is
Some of the best tension is created when weâre uncertain about who the real villain is. In mystery/crime novels, for example, thereâs often evidence that points to one person who ends up not really being the one we need to worry about. If you hide this information from your readers, you keep them guessing throughout the course of your novel and this will aid in creating suspense.
The truth about their past
When you hide your characterâs past from your readers, you have the ability to use it as an explanation for something important later on. For example, if you character has these mysterious powers they canât explain, you can use their parents and back story in order to reveal later on why itâs happening. Revealing past details slowly over the course of your novel helps build the mystery.
What their secondary goals are
Sometimes characters will have goals no one else knows about but them OR they will have a false goal that their using to cover up their real goal. For example, a character might say theyâre rescuing another character because they want to help, but it really might be all about finding some hidden treasure along the way. There are many reasons why a character might want to hide their goals. Explore character motivations on a deeper level and youâll be able to realistically include this type of deception in your story.

Lucifer vs. Other Supernatural Shows
Other Supernatural Character: I must protect my identity AT ALL COSTS. My partner can NOT discover my secret, it would be dangerous for her/him and they would not be able to handle it!!!
Lucifer: Hey, Chloe, Iâm the devil. Literally. Here, watch!!! Look, Iâll use my power to get the suspect to divulge their desires. Why arenât you listening to me. Iâm the devil!!!
10 Psychological Tips Thatâll Help You Get Your Life Together
If you can figure out why your parents did this or that, youâll be able to forgive them and take a huge step towards accepting yourself just as you are.
When it comes to beating yourself up for past mistakes, donât forget that you made that decision because you felt that it was right for you at that time in your life.
If youâve been hurt by someone, tell them how you feel, but choose your words wisely. Instead of saying, âYou betrayed me!â, a much better way to open a dialogue is to say, âI feel betrayed.â
Try to have desires and goals that are your own and not somebody elseâs. When we try to live another personâs life, we destroy our own.
You can change your life if you just step out of your comfort zone and start doing things youâd never imagine yourself doing.
You donât have to be nice and accommodating for everybody and give up your own desires and expectations. Itâs perfectly okay to say ânoâ.
Donât wait for the right moment, take steps to make your life better every single day.
Each stressful situation pulls you out of your comfort zone. And with it, youâve gained new experience that will help you learn your lesson so that you never repeat the same mistakes again.
Do everything thatâs in your power, and then let the situation work itself out. Itâs pointless to stress over something you canât change and have no control over.
Remember youâre the person you spend your whole life with. No matter how much everyone else praises you, if you donât like yourself, youâll still be miserable.

The worldâs tiniest dragon must defend his hoard, a single gold coin, from those who would steal it.
Suggestion: The dragonâs definition of âstealâ is somewhat loose. It still allows the coin to be used and bartered and change handsâbut on one condition: the dragon must be with it at all times.
They become a familiar sight in the marketplace.
âHereâs your change, ma'am. One gold piece.â The merchant holds out a palm, on top of which rests a tiny, brilliantly colored creature clutching a single gold coin.
âThatâs a dragon,â you say dumbly. âOne piece⌠and a dragon.â
âYes.â
You cautiously reach out and attempt to take your change. You tug. It holds. You tug harder. The dragon lets loose a tiny, protective growl.
âMa'amâno, ma'am, you have to take the dragon, too.â
âSorry?â
The seller notes your dubious expression. âNot from around here, are ya?â They shrug. âThemâs the rules. Take the coin, take the dragon.â
They wait expectantly. Wondering how the world has so suddenly gone mad, you slowly, slowly hold out your hand.
The dragon perks right up. It scampers from their palm to yours with the coin clamped in its jaws and scales your sleeve with sharp little claws.
âHave a nice day, ma'am,â the merchant says. âSpend him soon, now, you hear? At another booth, if you can. He likes to travel.â
From its perch upon your shoulder, the dragon lets out a happy trill.
Bonus: the coin eventually passes to the rogue in a group of travelling adventurers. The dragon becomes the mascot of the entire group, and they lay out a small pile of coins for him to sleep on every night, clutching his coin like a teddy bear.
