Reminds me of some article I read with the gist of "men are feeling redundant and unwanted because women are taking care of themselves and don't have to rely on men to be the breadwinners anymore" and I remember thinking, why wouldn't they see that as a good thing? If your partner isn't financially dependent on you and would manage fine without you, you know she's with you because she wants to be. It's much more likely that she likes you and likes being around you for who you are, instead of viewing you as a meal ticket.

But if someone's conclusion instead is "oh no, now I can't force women to settle for me!" there's just no way it reflects well on them, and it's good that they can't get women to date them. Good riddance.
