They were so conscious of each other at the bar...it’s so cute! I’m convinced Nao has been interested in Kiichi-san before the beginning of the story. Maybe next chapter we’ll get a glimpse of Nao’s backstory?

A gentle and heartwarming story about the developer of an app for the blind and a young man who lost his vision due to an accident.

“I fell in love with a person once, and then she left. I went to 2046 because I thought she would be waiting for me there, but I couldn’t find her. I really want to know if she loves me or not, but in the end, I did not get an answer. Her answer is like a secret, never to be known.”   — 2046

There is a phrase in Chinese, 找不着北 (zhao bu zhao bei), literally “can’t find North (Star),” used to describe how one is lost or confused and unable to find one’s direction (perhaps in life). The title of this novel, 找得着北 (zhao de zhao bei), literally translates to “finding North.” The title is a pun on the main character’s name, Bei Bei (北北), so it could mean being able to find one’s direction or being able to find Bei Bei.

This short web novel has several audio drama versions. This version is my favourite, and I especially like the soundtrack! The original novel is highly recommended as well!
