You 🫵 person in Europe who’s finding it unseasonably hot and you suddenly don’t know what to wear on, like, a hot train.
You’re going to go on Vinted or eBay and put in “made in Italy”, “moda Italia” or (translation of same.) add the search term “silk top.”
What you want are tops that consist of these really thin jersey vest tops with a floaty pure silk layer over them. You’re looking to spend £8-20. You might need to specify “floaty” or “lagenlook.”
There will usually be a healthy secondhand collection of these online. Try to get a pure silk overlayer if you can - some of them are silk blended with viscose.
You’ll probably find the designs kinda mid or old-lady-ish. Don’t worry too much about this. They’ll actually look pretty cool on, and everyone will be jealous of your freedom from suffering.
These tops will keep you much cooler than skimpier ones.
The fact that the Nostromo crew didn't need to be alive to get the alien back to Earth suggests that the Weyland-Yutani corporation was just staffing all its random space missions with six to eight people for no reason despite the cost of fuel and infrastructure, which is extremely irresponsible from a fiduciary standpoint. Many lives might have been saved by stronger market discipline
this is the vibe i bring to the party actually
There are ten trillion pictures of flowering trees to the point where they sometimes seem trite and overdone. But then you see a tree in full flower and go holy shit this rules and I've gotta show this to everyone so they can experience the same magic and wonder and there are ten trillion and one pictures of flowering trees
if you want to read more but have trouble finishing things, i really recommend short story collections (ESPECIALLY anthologies by multiple authors) and literary magazines. if one story sucks you can just skip to the next one, and anthologies and magazines will have work by multiple authors so you get a wide variety of styles, and if you find a story you really really like, you can look to see if that author's published anything else.
i'm not as well-versed in literary magazines as i should be (trying to fix that), but here are short story collections i suggest:

Why waste the rain?
I'm obsessed with gardening systems that utilize rainwater without the use of barrels or cisterns. My ultimate fav is using bioswales to catch and filter stormwater on the street.
Fun addition: Dams that utilize trees to catch dirt/ stop erosion, and prevent disaster that can come from broken dams.
Also:
SUSTAINABLE URBAN DRAINAGE! SUDS!
We need more of them, in the right places!
Also, using these to reduce stormwater loads in storm events, particularly in places with combined stormwater and sewage systems, could/would be helpful at reducing river discharges of raw sewage. (If climate change is factored in at system level cos more rain in less time needs to be accouted for at rhe large scale designs...)
Plus using constructed wetlands to retain these discharges and treat them before rivers too!
Orphan Black is so delightful because it’s a dark gory sci-fi horror but almost every episode between the killing and maiming and human experimentation they’re just like “Alison has been kidnapped by violent religious extremists…but the school bake sale is TONIGHT!” and they proceed to have wonderful clone swapping antics
