Well, it was the thought that counted, right? Or something like that — no, he was going to drag Bruce to the beach.
"You’re going with me."
The engineer couldn’t help but grin at the idea of getting the almighty Bruce Wayne to come with him to the beach — there was a point where Tony started wondering how pale his friend was, knowing he wasn’t a fan of the outdoors — or mornings — to begin with.
In that, he laughed to himself. “Oh yeah, you’re definitely going."
When he was younger, tans came easily in the form of tan beds and spending a little time outside (that's what the years at the monastery had done for him, after all). Now, even with his own personal spa, he sunburns very easily. It's more than likely from all those years of avoiding the living world, holed up in the manor--but it's a good reason not to want to go to the damn beach.
Bruce blinks a few times. "I think I need to give you some kind of consent before you take me, no?"

"Just peachy."
"Keeping out of trouble?"
"I think it should be me asking that of you."

"…Well, that’s a first."
But Bruce came to visit Tony a number of times, and it was nice spending quality time with another billionaire who understood the life. Being rich wasn’t everything, and neither was being a hero. There were still the little things like this that made them human.
"Very — but it’s going to get hotter in July, and that’s what worries me. Global warming’s going to be a bitch, I don’t think I’d be able to leave the Tower." Tony frowned, looking over at his friend. “We should go to the beach sometime then. I think you’d have a great time."
"... The beach."
Bruce had never been fond of the beach, with the way the grains of sand got caught between his toes and the way the salt water always ended up going up his nose and into his mouth. He could count the number of times he'd been there on one hand.
"I'll... consider it," he murmured, sipping at his drink. "How've things been at the Tower, by the way?"
"Evening, yourself."
"…Been a while."
"It has."
"... How are you?"
