Frida didn’t exactly know why she had ended up in this situation. It had started with her talking to her boss about writing edgier notes for the magazine, which resulted in the older lady telling her that she was not ready and that her fashion articles were always on point. The brunette hadn’t taken the comment lightly and insisted that she wanted something else, something that made the readers thing and get involved with the world around them.
“Tell you what, give me a story and I’ll print it. Something about men, something nobody has written about them”
And so, she was at the closest bar to the magazine, the sparkling frog. “I choose whoever I want and you make them fall in and out of love with you in… a week? Something quick since we don’t have much time until the end of the month and it would be a great way to close month”. Frida rolled her eyes but went along with it, this was her chance to finally write what she was more passionate about, something other than just clothes and rivalries. “Sure, Hermia. Just pick your bachelor”, the brunette took a sip of her first margarita.
“Him”
The man was tall, tanned and handsome, at least it wouldn’t ruin her reputation. With confident strides, she walked over to him, noticing the flock of girls surrounding him. “Excuse me”, she tapped his shoulder, “do you think I could have the time? My watch just broke”.
Gabriel was desperate to get the campaign he was working for so badly, but what should’ve been earned by his skills and effort became a bet between his boss, his friends and himself. While sitting at the table, Gabriel was attentive at their conversation, debating over the possibility of getting the campaign when his boss once again took control over their conversation.
Find a woman to fall in love with you, and if you’re able to do it, then you’ll have the campain.
Not because he deserved, only because if he could have a woman in love with it, it meant he would be passionate enough to understand women and work in that campaign. “And I can choose this woman?” Once he received a nod in agreement, Gabriel moved up, excusing himself from the conversation to find the woman who would help him get this job while falling for him. All of it sounded too easy inside his head.
He stood there by the bar, talking to women that would surround him some that he wished that would just give up of their conversation and some that seemed interest enough to either be a friend or a one night stand but none of them seemed to be the person to be part of this bet until one finally stood out among the others. As he turned to look at her, he knew. That was the one. And before he’d say something, she was the one who started a conversation with him. “I guess I could help you with it. What’s wrong with your watch?”
