i just want to let all my fellow queers know that you can still be happy and enjoy your life even if your family/“friends” don’t support you... trust me, i know it sucks. my entire family is homophobic, biphobic, transphobic in addition to being toxic af in a variety of other ways.
but you know what? you will be so much happier once you free yourself from anyone toxic to you... we all have our different situations but at some point you will be able to move out, build a chosen family, relax or do whatever it is you need to do.
i say this to you and to myself: please, keep fighting... you got this. you’re beautiful. :)
in the mean time, here are some things that could help and only require yourself:
find a book to escape in every now and then
journal about your feelings and don’t hold back... or about scenarios that make you smile! write poems, songs, short stories...
when you are in a good mood, make a list or a few lists of positive and motivational stuff and read one whenever you are feeling down... you could do notes instead... if you aren’t a word person, try a collage!
set reminders on your phone so you will get notifications like: “you can do this”, “i believe in you”, “keep going!”, “good morning”, “drink water”...
find a hobby!!! drawing, painting, writing, running, hiking, keeping animals, photography, filmmaking, baking, cooking, reading, fashion, singing, dancing, yoga, exercising, volunteering, cosplaying, gaming, streaming...
and the most important thing is... PLEASE STAY SAFE to the best of your ability. ✨
