Gabe was supposed to meet up with Jade after his shift at the apartment building was over. He’d been asked to pick up Cat on his way home, though he’d picked her up from her house multiple times when he stopped there and her parents said she hadn’t come home yet he decided to check the school. He walked through the doors of Hollywood Arts, for the first time since he graduated from there a couple years ago. He’d seen her curled up on the steps with her head in her hands and he swore he could hear her crying. “It’s just Gabriel. You know, Jade’s brother that always used to drive you around? What’s going on?”

she'd completely forgotten her plans to go over to jade's house after school, being so caught up with the fact she'd just caught her boyfriend cheating on her and the heartbreak of it all. the sound of gabe's voice cuts her haunting thoughts short and she's distracted even if it's for a brief second, a second that doesn't last when she realize she'll have to face him with tear stained cheeks that she couldn't hide behind her normal facade.
