“Katie?” Tommy suggested.

“No,” Buck muttered from where he lay sprawled across their bed, a giant jar of chunky peanut butter balanced on top of his stomach. He scooped out another heaping spoonful.

“Melody?”

“No...” Buck managed around the peanut butter.

Tommy huffed a laugh, adding another name to the ever-growing list of rejected names on his laptop.

“Isla?”

“No.”

“Olivia?”

Buck sighed dramatically.

“No. Kay... Lily?”

“No!”

“Tommy,” Buck whined.

“Ev,” Tommy laughed. “I'm trying here.”

Buck sniffed in protest.

Tommy finally gave up, shutting the laptop and setting it on the nightstand. Rolling onto his side, he faced Buck, pressing slow, affectionate kisses against his bare shoulder.

“They're all nice names,” Tommy murmured between kisses.

“They're not her.”

“You've said that about every single one.”

“Because they're not.”
