lemme get uhhhh bichie with #5 on the tangled prompt list 🌻
This didn’t turn out as good as the other things I wrote for Rarepair Month because I just lost my writing mojo this week, but I really wanted to give you guys some new content, so here is….this.
I just hope the next things will be better, but please enjoy^^
5. “I can’t believe that after all we’ve been through together, you don’t trust me?”
“Fuck! It’s a dead end!” Richie stopped in his tracks, causing Bill to nearly run into him. He braced his arms on Richie’s shoulders, pushing Richie forward.
“Hey! Watch it!” Richie turned to him, glaring, but was distracted when they heard faint shouting, looking behind Bill. “They’re almost here.” He looked back to Bill, eyes wide.
“Wuh-wuh-”, Bill shook his head in frustration, annoyed that he could never say what he wanted, especially when it mattered.
“What we’ll do now? I have no idea, Billiam.” Richie looked over Bill’s shoulder again, surveying the alleyway they had ran into. Bill suppressed the urge to check himself, not wanting to turn around only to be greeted by a bunch of angry guys walking up to them threateningly.
Richie’s face didn’t show any sign of panic (at least not more panic than was evident on it anyway), so Bill took it they still had a moment before they would undoubtedly get their asses handed to them.
“Duh-this i-is-” - “All my fault? Despite everyone thinking I’m the world’s biggest dumbass, I do know that.” Richie turned his face back towards Bill, sheepish grin on his face.
“Duh-they’re k-kind of ruh-right.” Bill’s breath was slowing enough to form some sort of sentence again.
Richie’s whole body deflated, confident posture crumbling under Bill’s gaze. “I know.”
His eyes were flickering back and forth from Bill’s face and the opening of the alleyway.
“I’m sorry I dragged you into this,” he started, raising his hand when Bill wanted to say something (wanted to agree, to be honest, because there were better ways he could spend his Friday night).
“But, those jerks were making fun of your stutter and I couldn’t just stand there and do nothing about it!” His voice became louder at the end of the sentence, Richie looking like he was ready to swing at the guys from the bar. Again.
“Duh-duh-that’s nuh-not a ruh-reason t-to p-p-….hit duh-them!” Bill was throwing his hands up too, frustrated at his stutter and Richie’s antics.
It had been a sweet gesture of Richie but Bill would have prefered it if they had just ignored the nasty comments of those clearly already way too drunk guys. Would have saved them a lot of trouble.
And an astounding sprint of at least 3 yards, complete with climbing up fences and falling into dirt (in Richie’s case).
And all had been for nothing, judging by the trampling footsteps quickly approaching them. Richie heard them too, mouth closing again (probably about to defend his honour, like he had done with Bill’s rather efficiently).
“Can’t those assholes just let it go? Jeez,” he muttered, taking Bill’s hand and dragging him to the side of the alleyway.
“You clocked duh-their leader. Puh-pretty sure duh-they are furious.” Bill had no idea what Richie had in mind, leading him to lean against the wall decidedly. Because even if they would press themselves flat against the stone, they could still be seen easily.
That little trick would buy them a few seconds at the most.
But instead of standing next to him like Bill had expected, Richie pushed himself between his legs, making quick work of his button up.
“Wuh-what-” Bill could only stare as Richie shrugged out of clothes, revealing an old band shirt underneath. “What I’m doing? Saving our asses.” Richie glanced over his shoulder, the entry of the alleyway now in his back. He threw his button up to the ground next to Bill before settling his hands on Bill’s waist.
“Ruh-Richie?” Now, Bill was really confused. He had nothing against their proximity - not at all actually - but he had no idea how this could improve their situation even in the slightest.
Richie murmured a “Just go along with it,” before pushing even closer, their chest touching, but Bill stopped the movement, hands on Richie’s shoulders.
“Wuh-what are you p-p-…doing? T-tell me.” He tried to seem stern but he couldn’t stop himself from being momentarily distracted when the voices of their pursuers grew louder. Bill could already make out what they were shouting at each other. It didn’t sound good.
Richie scoffed at Bill, oblivious to the impending doom. “I can’t believe that after all we’ve been through together, you don’t trust me?” He was smiling at Bill in his typical Richie way, before leaning down again, not waiting for an answer.
Bill wanted to object, but before he could do anything, Richie had his lips pressed to Bill’s.
As on cue, the guys from the bar appeared in front of the alleyway, but Bill didn’t notice that.
He didn’t notice their startled conversation, neither the surprised “Where did those Losers vanish to?”, nor the angry “Let’s keep going, they can’t be that far away!” from their leader (the same Leader that most likely got his nose broken by Richie).
He didn’t even realize that the group passed their alleyway without more than a cursory glance in their direction, too caught up in the fact that Richie was kissing him.
Richie was holding tightly onto his waist as he pressed his mouth against Bill’s, moving them insistently against his. Bill was way too shocked to respond, hands still gripping onto Richie’s shoulders, mouth falling slightly open after Richie used his teeth to tug on his lower lip.
And suddenly there was Richie’s tongue in his mouth and Bill wasn’t sure if that made the whole thing better or worse.
At least now he actually moved his lips back against Richie’s, hesitantly sucking on Richie’s tongue. Richie hummed into the kiss, hands sneaking under Bill’s shirt and it made Bill’s knees go weak.
He heard a whining noise over the wet slide of their lips moving together and it took him a moment to realize that he was making that noise, a high and needy sound in the back of his throat.
Startled, he pulled back, promptly hitting his head on the wall.
Bill swore under his breath, looking up to see Richie slowly opening his eyes, head still moving forward in an attempt to chase Bill’s lips. It made Bill’s head spin even more.
“What?” Richie croaked out, sounding disgruntled. He made no attempt to pull away, trapping Bill against his body and the wall.
Bill didn’t know what to say, still surprised by the turn of events. “Duh-they’re g-g-gone,” he managed after some seconds, his words immediately followed by a strong urge to hit himself.
Richie seemed confused for a second, brow furrowed, before his face cleared up, smile settling on his lips. “Yeah,” he said, looking proud. “I told you to just trust me, Big Bill, I knew what I was doing.”
Richie leaned back a bit, smug, and Bill could finally breathe again. He calmed himself down a bit, hoping to appear as nonchalant as Richie about this whole kissing incident.
“I have t-to a-admit duh-that was p-pretty sss-smart.” Richie’s gloating smirk turned into a genuine smile as his face lit up.
“Right? Who would suspect two guys making out in peace to be exactly the ones you’ve been looking for? Especially when they wear different clothes.” He used one of his hands to gesture to his band shirt, laughing in glee.
His other hand was still on Bill’s hip though, rubbing circles into the bare skin. Bill tried his best to ignore it, caught between wanting to lean into the touch and shying away from it at the same time.
“You c-can luh-let g-go nuh-now, Ruh-Richie,” he mumbled, voice smaller than he intended it to be. Richie’s hand didn’t falter.
“I know,” he answered, still smiling at Bill. He placed his free hand against the wall, next to Bill’s head, before leaning closer. “Maybe I don’t want to.” His eyes were downcast, looking at Bill’s lips.
“Or do you want me to Big Bill?” His eyes went back to Bill’s, serious even though Richie’s tone was light.
Bill didn’t even consider the question for a second. “No,” he stated, more confidently than before.
“Good.” And before Bill knew it, they were kissing again.
