Working on something…

For now, calling it If I Were To Lose You (I’d Surely Lose Myself) because im rewatching playthroughs of The Last Of Us games

From the scroll, the green lights shifts upward, illuminating the ceiling of the room. And from the light forms the image of the one and only Casey Jones.

“Hey Fearless Leader! Crazy seeing you here,” the ghost greets with a booming voice.

Leonardo’s shoulders fall with release of tension, only to return to that rise when he sees the deceased warrior looking all too pleased with herself. If he could strangle that ghost, he would. But he can’t. So he continues his frantic, stressed pacing.

“Your son is going to get himself killed, Jones,” Leonardo tells the ghost. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to do? He’s—He’s not thinking straight.”

“Yeah, us Joneses don’t think before we act. Were people of action! And nothing stops us when we’ve got our hearts set!”

Leonardo almost pulls out his nonexistent hair at that one. He snaps in Casey’s direction, hands shaking from the stress of the Jones family. He’s holding his voice back from yelling at the top of his lungs, “He’s just a kid, Case! He doesn’t see exactly how dangerous it is out there!”
