Autistic Pride Flag Masterlist - Part 1
Hey everyone! I noticed that there are a lot of proposed designs for an autistic pride flag, so I thought it might be a good idea to collate them all in order to both spread awareness and provide autistic people with the resources to make their own pride icons and headers from them!
Each post will include a header-sized flag, two icons and an icon tempate.
Our first design is from @hs-spritely! Itâs one of my personal favourites because of its unique colour scheme thatâs both gorgeous to look at and easy on the eyes (which is pretty important when you consider the fact that so many of us have sensory issues). They also ascribed a specific meaning to each of the colours which I feel is a lovely touch as it serves as a tribute to some of the more âclassicâ pride flags while also showing that it has a place among them.
Black - Strength as a communityÂ
Teal - People who are non-verbal or feel distant from society because of their autism
Yellow - People who are hyper verbal or hyperenergetic because of their autism
White - Peace and understanding, from both within and outside the communityÂ
Red - The RedInstead movement and autistic self advocacy
