Sorry Friends!

I know this unannounced hiatus has lasted a few months now, and it will be a few more.

My current living situation is... Unfortunate. At the moment. In the meantime Big Red and Co. have been tucked into a box in my storage unit for their safety.

It took me longer than I'd like to have made this post to explain my absence, but that's just how it goes with mental health sometimes. Im doing better now, and focusing on the projects I can manage!

I did collect some new friends on my recent trip to boulder to see a show (planned and budgeted for before I started this blog), you can have this preview for now until it's time for Big Red to return!

This member is a ceolophysis, and they don't have a name yet! Maybe you all have some suggestions? :)

How to transport your child.

1. Walking

2/10. Slow and received many complaints.

2. Arms

4/10. It works but this child is wiggly and it is very hard not to step on her tail by accident.

3. Piggy Back

7/10. Unstable but the most fun for all parties involved.

4. Aunt Red

Someone's coming for a visit!

It's Cousin Al!!

And his little daughter Clarice!

She's a little shy but the grownups have a lot to catch up on so the focus isn't on her for long.

Red and Al sit down with some evening tea and cookies to chat,

while Clarice digs into the toy chest. They gave her some snacks too but it took her a while to notice them.

Eventually it gets late and it's time for the guests to leave.

Clarice fell in love with the lizard plushie. Red said she could keep it!

Clarice was VERY thankful.

"Say goodbye Darling." "Bye-Bye auntie Red!!"

While she's sad to see them go, after all that socializing Red gladly snuggles into bed for the night.

We climbed some trees

And after a few hours outside we were chilly so we went inside and bundled up in some cozy blankets

Brunch Time!! We're making egg and cheese sandwiches!

I like my eggs over medium but she prefers scrambled, so we compromised and made some of each

She wanted to do something all by herself so I let her cook the bagels (I'm not letting her anywhere near the stove unsupervised, last time I did she burnt the grilled cheese)
