Cloître de Saint-Sauveur (Aix Cathedral cloister) in Aix-en-Provence, France. It is a serene Romanesque cloister dating back to the 12th century.
A remarkable detail from the late-12th-century Romanesque cloister of Saint-Sauveur Cathedral in Aix-en-Provence, France. This twisted corner support turns solid stone into something almost fluid, showing how Romanesque carving could be both structural and deeply expressive.

John Martyn - May You Never
Mother Is Sick
.
Then the Moon spoke:
"Mother is sick!"
But the Moon held no sway
Except to affect the waves
.
So the Moon watched in horror
As the human infestation
Hacked and slashed and
Burned and bombed and
Polluted and killed
.
If the Moon could cry
There would be great tears
In his old gray eyes
.
If the humans could just
Jump on the equal bus
And work to find peace
And keep the Earth green
.
But the Moon waxes and wanes
Constantly in pain
Watching his Mother get covered
In acid rain
And bombed by big jet planes
Large oil spills
And yet another forest killed
.
So the Moon spoke again:
"Please, Mother is sick!"
But nobody heard a thing
Until the death bell rang
.
