I don’t have anyone to talk to about how bummed I am that it looks like Severance (and Apple TV as a whole) won’t have a presence at San Diego Comic Con this year.

Like I kind of get it, because they just did the world’s longest press tour, and they haven’t even started shooting s3 yet, and without a release date there’s not really anything new to share or even tease.

But MAN I’m feeling disproportionately despondent! I wasn’t exactly looking forward to braving the Hall H line but I was willing to do it. I just love this show and this cast and I’m sad!!

OKAY and now the list of Emmy nominations makes me even MORE bummed by the lack of Apple TV at SDCC!!

Obviously Severance!! but also The Studio! and Shrinking! and Slow Horses! I JUST WANT TO CELEBRATE ALL MY FAVE SHOWS AT COMIC CON WITH THE CASTS AND CREATORS AND 130,000+ OF MY CLOSEST FRIENDS!!!

Question: Was there ever a time where the Agents of Shield fandom was an okay size and was active? Am I simply rly late to the party or was there much of a party to even begin with?😭

I watched it live when it was airing! From the pilot to the finale and everything in between. I was mostly active on tumblr during seasons 3, 4 and 5, but have been a vehement fan from the very start. I actually went to the very first (non-SDCC) comic con panel that the cast ever did, in Houston in 2014. I looked back at my pictures from that con and they were all BABIES.

Anyway, then Season 5 had some especially polarizing moments and a lot of people peaced out around then. But some of us stuck around, and then there was a pretty big swell in 2020 when a lot of people watched for the first time during the pandemic/got caught up before season 7 aired.

Most of my AOS fandom experience was here on tumblr and on twitter (RIP) but I think there was/is a decent amount of folks on instagram doing edits and stuff.

It's one of my all-time favorite shows and it means a lot to me! My husband referenced a Fitzsimmons quote in his wedding vows to me, and I'm still close friends with several folks I met via the Fitzsimmons fandom specifically. It tickles me to see people discovering it for the first time - it's equal parts "buckle up!" and "honey you got a big storm comin" and "YES YOU'VE MADE A GREAT CHOICE!" and "oh you sweet summer child" and "I can't wait till you get to [insert specific episode here]". I'm so glad you've found it and are loving it!
