‘First Encounter’

I saw that recently the creator of the original ‘The Thing’ movie poster passed away and wanted in memorial to do my own PHM spin on his style,,
An 11 year long call,

These were my references for the last post. In no way is it meant to be Christian symbolism. I just wanted to redraw a beautiful scene from the finale but Robby healing his inner child.
“I wish someone would have swaddled me”
Loosely based on a Leyendecker piece
please for the love of Hashem can you lot stop drawing robby with christian iconography is it that hard is it really honestly that difficult
It's really rather fascinating seeing the Jesus/Judas Complex play out with this character. (Also infuriating, but that's par for the course).
When Robby is Good, he's depicted using Christian iconography, and his Jewishness is erased.
When Robby is Bad, his Jewishness is front, center, and dominant.
I have yet to see any depiction of this character done by a non-Jew that doesn't fall into those categories. I'm sure they exist, but they're so fringe that a casual observer will only get the impression that this man is Good and Christian, or Evil and Jewish.
I feel like I need to add on to this to say- I AM IN NO WAY CHRISTIAN AND I HAD NO INTENT TO PORTRAY THIS AS ANY KIND OF RELIGIOUS ART.
My own personal religion, I am a satanist.
The art here is a redraw from another leyendecker piece.
I have never drawn Robby before.
The ‘halo’ around his head is 1. Reference to the leyendecker piece and 2. A reference to the show how they had the sun over his head in Pede’s
This was never supposed to be religious art,
I made it gold because I’m trying to add texture to my art and I thought it looked pretty.
That is all.
Robby is a Jewish man, I am not here to portray his religion in a negative light or put it down in anyway.
This piece is meant to portray Robby swaddling his younger self as he says in the scene, in pedes, surrounded by the animals and with the sun behind his head “I wish someone would have swaddled me.”
For the last time.
I am not Christian.
This is not religious art.
Curls,,
"So we'll finish off the leavings of blood and glue and beer, and burn this bloody city down in the summer of the year!"
As is typical for executioners, select pubs with sponsoring from the church allowed for the evening hours to be reserved for them since they weren't allowed out of the compound most of the time, nor were they allowed to mingle with commonfolk. Executioners abused a lot of alcohol and beast blood pellets, and it resulted in Yharnam sunsets filled with the raucous and obnoxious laughter of Logarius' attack dogs alongside many bloody fistfights. Given that their ranks consisted almost entirely of orphans and ex-criminals, none of them seemed to mind their semi-reviled status amongst the clergy and even revelled in it, seeing themselves as the "real" soldiers of the church. Whether or not there was a mote of legitimacy to this claim, it stoked the flames of their allegiance ever hotter.
