be so for real. have you even met You Can’t Spell America Without Erica Sinclair? she will bully anything with a pulse. she will tell you to die because you dare to question why she’s out past curfew. she will find your deepest insecurity and make it the center of every insult she slings at you. she WILL make you eat your damn pie, and if you don’t, she has zero qualms stabbing you directly in the neck with a hypodermic needle. she is also a Certified Girl Genius™️ who would have figured out VH1’s plans within ten minutes of being in his mind trap. there is also the fact that she was slightly above the age range of the kids being targeted and had too much knowledge of the Upside Down and the Mind Flayer and Eleven and therefore wasn’t as pliable as a child on the fringes with no discernible idea of what they might be up against.

Vecna didn’t go after Erica because he knew he’d die in seconds if he tried. that girl was not a target. she was a liability.

for the record: Stranger Things has never been poorly written. it’s just not fan fiction.

I’m just thinking about how one of Will’s greatest fears was growing apart from his friends because he thought that they would think his life would be harder and he’d have trouble finding love and would distance themselves out of pity for him when, in reality, his best friend in the whole wide world wrote him an ending in which he found love and happiness and belonging and lived in peaceful acceptance. so. like I said. I’m fine.
