"One day we'll all be free, and proud to be
under the same sun, singing songs of freedom..."
~ One Day by Matisyahu
What things do you think are worth living for?
Cats. Cats are nice.
Sleeping in on a grey, rainy morning.
Trying a new cookie recipe and being excited about a tweak to make it even better next time.
A clean flannel shirt.
A new vinyl record.
Drinking tea out of my favorite mug.
Wearing cologne even when I'm not going out anywhere.
Hearing the laughter of friends from down the hall.
Imagining the laughter of friends from across the internet.
This was just today.
It's worth living for all the little everyday joys. And you get to wake up to more reasons to live again and again. ❤️
The way the sun shines on everything and makes it all so lovely.
Seeing people I love out in public and going over to say hi.
Joking with the cashier and giving them a reason to genuinely smile and laugh at work.
Hearing new music that I would never have guessed that I would like.
Dead people can't jump in puddles or see the sunrise or breath in the crisp cold air in the winter. I love those things therefor I keep living.
Oh and another one, I remember that the world has ended before and will end again and that people had meaningful lives and joyful days during the fall of every empire.
I second @so-i-did-this-thing, it's life's little pleasures that are what makes life worth living.
Kids pointing to the nonbinary pride pins on my bag and shyly saying "I like your pins"
The way old ladies light up when you compliment their earrings or hair or the color of their clothes
Strawberries and pound cake from costco. Eating them while playing dnd with friends
Putting together Lego sets
Being hugged and kissed by my wife
Roller coasters
The sheer RELIEF of putting antihistamine eyedrops in my eyes when they itch
And also yeah, to agree with Nick @so-i-did-this-thing , cats.
Cats are nice.
Rare days of sunshine and snow falling at the same time
Your favorite song playing on the radio on the drive to work
Someone trying to tell you a joke but they're making themselves laugh too hard to get the words out
Chocolate croissants and quiches
Making new work friends who match your freak
Rereading your favorite book for the 10th time, wrapping yourself in their words like a well loved blanket
Birds and birdsong
Making pancakes and watching cartoons with my family on Sunday mornings
And yes, cats are good
seeing your favorite color in places you least expect it
taking pictures of the sky and clouds
hearing the eye roll your sibling does over the phone at a purposeful cringy joke you told them
receiving a letter/package in the mail
feeling the sun on your skin on a cool day
waving hi at toddlers in the grocery store
the sounds of nature returning after a hurricane
the smile of strangers as you politely pass by each other
flowers blooming after a good rainfall
finding faces in inanimate objects
epic the musical eurylochus really be channeling his (potential) ancient jewish heritage by turning to a (golden) cow to solve his problem during a low part of his life after giving up on making it home
paint and sip!
all done! can you spot the whippet

Had a dream that the name of Soren's current sword is Hilda (he named her himself). And the one he had the night of the assassination had a longer fancy more masculine name that started with an L(?). Something like Lancelot, combined with the regality of Vilarian (or something similar). And that one was given to him when he became the youngest Crownguard (pre-named). Hilda was gifted to him later as a more of a 'practical' sword for every day use and carry, letting Lanarilion(?) being the one for major battles and ceremonies due to being bigger and heavier and a double hand sword vs a hand a half.
He still has both swords but uses Hilda more often currently. And every night he takes care of Vilanceian(?) and Hilda, giving them proper care and maintenance of sharpening them, polishing them, oiling them, keeping their scabbards in good condition. And he constantly tells his swords how much he loves them both for their individual strengths. And laments that he hasn't used Lianceion(?) recently. (i know he has at least a three syllables, possibly four syllables in his name) (i think Soren lost also Vilanceion(?) temporarily for some reason and thats when he got Hilda as his new personal sword {instead of using a standard guard issued sword} but found Vilanarilion(?) soon after leaving him temporarily conflicted till he decided to keep both)
love seeing all the posts about haikyuu movie now that it is out internationally, i am once again reminded on the hows and whys haikyuu is so loved. the overall consensus that the movie was a phenomenal movie between the soundtrack and animation and sound design and camera work the movie was stunning and gorgeous and got the love it deserved. the way everyone enjoyed it to the fullest and still laments the could have beens if it was a season, but still very happy with what we got through the movie. its just such pleasant feeling reading everyone else's posts about the movie in how great it was and how that one scene in the end blew everyone away, be sad about the coach backstory missing and other bits-and-bobs and their favorite parts of the manga being cut out or given little to no screen time, but still very thoroughly enjoy the movie and wanting to see it again and are excited for it to be available for purchase or streaming. seeing how people took their non-haikyuu friends to the movie and how the movie peaked their interest in the show and manga. i just love seeing everyones excited posts about finally having their ticket to see the movie. the follow up posts after they do see the movie. its such a joyous expression of love of our shared interest and i am overjoyed in getting to be apart of it. in conclusion, Thank You Haikyuu, Thank you Furudate, Thank You Haikyuu Fans for such a Wonderful and Fantastical experience

Happy Chanukah!!!
In celebration of the fist night of Hanukkah this year, I direct your attention to the Karasuno Second Years Hanukah Celebration I wrote last year.
Summary: Ennoshita’s first holiday season with his chaotic roommates. Filled with chaos (obviously), sabotage, revenge, chocolate coins, and sappy boyfriends.
it's time for my yearly chanukah merchandise ratings! how are there always so many to choose from. as always, this year is a doozy and I am as bitter as ever lmao
this was quite literally labeled "hanukkah cone tree." gee I wonder which winter holiday is The One With The Trees. surely it's the jewish one with all the fire. let's make it blue and white just in case. 4/10 there is no excuse for this
why are the chairs so far apart. why is there nobody there. why are there so many grapes. what even are those green things. why is there soup. will the mysteries never cease. 7/10 purely because it's pretty
I for one welcome our jewish alien cousins. not sure what this has to do with chanukah but I want to hear about jewish life on mars so 8/10 friends come in out of the cold and have a latke with me
the more I looked at this, the worse it got. there's a literal christmas tree and tinsel but oh it's got blue lights so it's fine. and as we all know, children regularly hold fully lit candle menorahs with mittens while going door to door during a snowstorm. I guess who are we to stifle a child's latent desire for arson. 5/10 somebody save that poor dying kitten
this poor magen dovid is being forcefully converted to christianity and we need to help it. quick somebody put this on a sufganiyot stack. 4/10 we all know the intended target audience isn't interfaith families okay
do I even have to say it. please just. just stop. get One (1) Jew to weigh on your hanukkah products, I beg you. -392928373/10 walmart owes me a personal apology for making me see this with my own two eyeballs
I spent a full five minutes staring at this shirt desperately trying to make it make sense. I shouldn't have bothered. it's worse than the hebrew could ever be. 2/10 amposzu zusach mezchamal to you too
congratulations, once again you wrote gibberish. this says nothing. it's not chanukah, it's not happy holidays, it's nothing. the letters on the dreidel are an ACRONYM people! there's an order! 3/10 it's antisemitic that this has over 4,000 sales (thank you @quartzfox for sending this to me. now you all have to see it too.)
now these are CUTE. and the dreidel letters are in the correct order too, which is unfortunately impressive. 10/10 no notes, it has cats, would wear

To those I may have wronged, I ask forgiveness.
To those I may have helped, I wish I was able to do more..
To those I have neglected, I ask for understanding (I will try to do better).
To those who have helped me, I thank you with all my heart.
