Welcome to my HLVRAI sideblog! I’m Val, and I draw art for the series, talk about AUs, reblog from other creators, and I am notorious for rambling about OCs.

A small, almost comically harmless-looking guy who is a regular at the local Big Tough Guy Dark Villain Bar, who wears a propeller hat for the same reason that toxic frogs are brightly coloured: A very clear, distinct, impossible-to-miss warning sign to not fuck with this thing. You will die and it's going to suck the whole time that you're dying. He doesn't need to avoid attention for the sake of his own safety. The hat is there to warn you, for the sake of your safety.

B█████ and Gordon go way back, being old friends at Black Mesa. When Dr. ███████ would lock himself out of his office, the two would race to be the first to get the door open, usually making use of the ventilation ducts to get in.

another hlvrai thought i can't really word right: tommy always portrayed as emotionally intelligent and emotional but i think he's 100% the opposite. I think he's kinda disconnected from his emotions and doesn't know how to express them. you can see this really clearly in "do you... want a soda?" bc gordon's freaking out super bad but tommy doesn't know what to do to make him feel better- he knows he wants to make gordon feel better, so offers him something he knows makes himself and others happy but in terms of comforting gordon... he mostly stays silent. probably dissociating. he's quiet for a lot of the series, actually! it's weird to look back on.
