the translation process is complete! proud to say i am now a protein!!!!!
this translation, like every single one lol, is gonna take place in the Rough ER! you guys are so welcome to watch you’ve always been there for me :) bound AND free ribosomes are gonna be there helping to sort proteins
the translation process is about to start!!!!!!! AAAAA no more preparation!! the introns are gonna be excised and the targeting sequences are gonna be removed :D
i know i said the codons can be redundant but we DO have specific start, AUG, and stop codons, UGA, AUU, and UAG. it’s kinda weird but i guess every amino acid starts and stops with those haha
these codon sequences are really abundant but sorta simple to me, only three RNA nucleotides make up one codon so a bunch are redundant phew 😂
i’ve been really working on this whole translation process! i have some mRNA molecules that i kinda use as a study guide since they contain codon sequences that lead to production of amino acids! :P
the good news issss i did find out that DNA is NOT necessary for protein translation! :) kinda a relief lol
school has been really hard, right now i’m working on protein translation,,, but there are so many requirements 😭 chromosomes, energy, tRNA, AND ribosomes!!! wish me luck :(

AT LONG LAST TERMINATION IS HERE AND I WAS TOLD MY RNA TRANSCRIPT WAS ACCEPTED….. The terminator sequences sent me an email that RNA polymerase released my transcript
update: i did hear that RNA will replace my thymine with uracil :(
when RNA polymerase reads it they’ll also make new nucleotides which makes a chain that grows from 5’ to 3’ that have been accepted to the college i want to go to
not only do i have to worry about AP’s, but the elongation process for college. there’s a template on DNA strands that RNA polymerase is gonna be reading that ill have to submit soon to Ribosomal University
how i feel about ap testing
there’s been a bunch of practice promoters to make sure the DNA strands are separated by the RNA polymerase, it also helps us create transcription that are single stranded
first day of senior year and i’m taking AP Initiation and there’s a big portion of the test called the promoter which starts off with our DNA sequence
i feel a little strange that my replication process is done and that half of me is new and half is old. Both my parents are sooooooo proud of me!
