The feeling of depression draws this image in my mind: you are at the bottom of a well. It is dark, musty, dirty and there is no way out. The only way is to claw your way out. Fingernails dig into the wet slimy bricks barely able to get a grip. You find some sort of divet in the stone to dig your toes into to hold onto and push your way out of this dark, life sucking feeling.......

Loving Toxic
Being in a relationship with someone who just belittles you into thinking you ain’t truly as good as you thought.
Self-esteem drops lower and lower each and every day when you are emotionally abused. Never physical yet the words exchanged make you feel like what is the point of trying. Until things finally end whether mutual or not makes you realize that life ain’t what it really seems.

Healthy Relationships While Living With Mental Illness
Healthy Relationships While Living With Mental Illness
First things first what is a healthy relationship true definition, well it is when two people develop a connection based on mutual respect, trust, honesty, and lastly support.
Personally, to me, a healthy relationship is when you connect with someone emotionally, mentally, physically, sexually and spiritually. As it is bonded by commitment, support, and most of all trust.
As we all have…

My Main Goal
I want to achieve loving myself by the end of this year. Accepting all my flaws along with my scars allowing me to see past it. I am who I am regardless of my past. Which does not define my future. Letting myself fall to pieces being with the wrong people who don’t deserve me. Yet, in a way if I do not learn to love myself first who else would truly love me for me and see beyond my flaws.

Letter to My Daughter
Depression and Bipolar along with severe PTSD has been apart of your momma’s life for as long as I can remember. Labels Are NOT For Humans
Labels Are NOT For Humans
Each and every day I wake up to many different versions of myself. Will I be joyful or miserable, will I feel protected or frightened? It’s not that I am unstable; I have risen to become a leader of myself. The things I feel because of my Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) aren’t transparent to others. I want to think of myself as a fighter in my own power because I overlook hidden battles…

Depression Had Completely Changed My Life
Depression Had Completely Changed My Life
Sometimes, a little nudge is required to get the ball rolling.
Notwithstanding the terror of living seen as inquisitive or intrusive, it’s critical to learn that when it comes to mental health, checking in with someone mentions to them that they aren’t alone when they’ve gone quiet.
In the summer of 2016, I noticed myself fighting with depression longer than ever previously. Life shifted…

Footprints in The Sand
My footprints in the sand began as a movement, it was simply a particular event created within some emotional thoughts I’d come up with. However, there was a story to be known and I have stayed through all the trials and tribulations simply to explain my story and confidently encourage others in the future.
My name’s Dakota and I suffer from PTSD, Bipolar, Anxiety, and so much more. Over…
