At some point in your life you need to confront the fact that thinking you’re the worst person on the planet is also a form of egoism.
If you agree that people with "main character syndrome" are delusional for thinking everything will go their way, you should also consider how perceiving yourself as someone uniquely annoying that literally nobody would love you is also a warped self-centred perspective.
Eventually you need to realise nobody is inherently more or less valuable than others, nobody is truly beyond redemption or love. You are not some special exception to this. Thinking that you are is just your ego and mental illnesses talking.
Getting better involves being kind to yourself but sometimes you also need to get a fucking grip, you are not the main character whether the story is supposed to be a tragedy or not.
