Okay! First time doing one of these fanfic round-ups! This is honestly, the most fanfics I have truly read in one entire month. I think having the combination of not being able to stand for more than two seconds before I pass out in the first week and a half of this month helped.

Anyways, these are all the fics I read (and loved!) in the month of June!

Please give each and every author some love, albiet be through kudos, comments, bookmarking, whatever! Can be one of those options, or all three! (I know I love the interaction from readers, so, if you're thinking: this author won't want a comment... YES THEY WILL!! TRUST ME!!)

I have a confession to make... I only (recently, within the month of May, perhaps) started kudosing works (don't judge me, okay, I have a person (aka my irl bully (they called me a nerd, people. A NERD!) (I'm so not a nerd)) who has been HARRASSING ME, and has equally been proud of me for discovering... the big three). Before that, I wrote my first comment (I really should comment more, be better than me!). Then before that revelation was using the bookmark function...

At least I knew that the 'Marked for Later' existed. (To be fair, the only reason why I start kudosing fics was out of pure embarrassment with the fact that I was reccing fics... and if an author saw that and realised I never kudosed they might think I didn't actually love it...)

(Can we tell I still have anxiety? Like, it doesn't rule my life anymore (HOORAY) but uhh... yeah...)

This month I read 30 fics, totalling 272,399 words. Of these, 11 were rated Explicit, 8 were rated Teens and Up, 6 were rated General, and lastly, 5 were rated Mature!

Every time James had a good date idea (usually somewhere around kilometer five of a run), he'd fumble for his phone and dictate it before he forgot. By now, he'd built quite the list. Unfortunately, that only made choosing the perfect first official date even harder. An escape room? Go-karting? Fun, but maybe too intense. Painting? A picnic? Too low-key. He wanted Sirius to know he was all in. Maybe lunch in his hometown with his parents? Too serious... even if he would have loved to introduce them. The date had to be perfect! When he landed on puppy yoga, all those worries disappeared. He completely forgot the promise he'd made to himself not to make assumptions after how badly that had gone last time. Sirius had finally texted, and James was so excited that he sent a cryptic invitation without thinking twice. He wanted it to be a surprise and what could possibly beat a room full of adorable puppies? He was ridiculously proud of the idea. The confidence lasted right up until Sirius actually arrived. James greeted him with an enthusiastic explanation that quickly turned into nervous rambling, while Sirius, who hadn't exactly had many chances to practice casual conversations like this over the past few years, answered every question with painfully literal honesty. Within minutes, they were both convinced they were making a terrible first impression. Remus found it both hot and adorable. Fortunately, the puppies proved far better at breaking the ice than either of them, and by the end of the session they'd spent far more time laughing over enthusiastic dogs than doing any actual yoga.

It's finally their first official date! It's gonna be smooth sailing from now on, right? Right?! 😏

starting a list of toxic/bitchy wolfstar headcanons because uhhhh I can

when Sirius is in a bad mood or sleeps poorly he makes it everyone’s problem, Remus included, and Remus has about 10 minutes worth of patience for the snippy comments and cold shoulder and slamming doors before he starts biting back because Sirius “is a grown man who needs to use his words for fucks sake”

the arguments when they’re both in a mood or fed up with each other are usually over nothing - Sirius used a tone that Remus didn’t like, Remus closed a cabinet door a little too hard or looked at him weird, so it’s mostly them yelling nonsense just to get it out of their systems. at the end they’re either fucking rough on the floor or against a wall, or staying on opposite sides of the house for the rest of the day when they run out of things to yell

these men have never delivered a heartfelt apology for an argument once in their lives. especially if it’s a stupid argument that they both know didn’t need to happen. the most either of them are giving are a muttered “sorry” and a cup of tea made just the way the other likes it. they do much better at apologizing through actions

Remus is a jealous person, and he thinks it’s quiet, but it’s really not because everyone can see him stepping between Sirius and the bartender that was smiling a little too wide at him and dragging Sirius away from an overly friendly dog walker (because of course Sirius stopped to pet the dog even though they’re probably running late for wherever they’re going), and he definitely has a little attitude about it after that Sirius mocks him for because “what, did you think I was gonna throw my ring out for someone because they like my dog puns? go to therapy” (they should both be in therapy and they are decidedly not going)

He figured it out, he just needed a little help delivering the message! 😅 James spent days agonizing over it, using every ounce of self-control not to text first. In the meantime, he planned about half a dozen dates, so when Sirius sent his not-even-finished message, James was ready with a reply. Or twelve. Meanwhile, Remus is grumpy and sleep-deprived once again at this ungodly hour.

Also, Sirius has a cat! Well, sort of. He ended up with Crookshanks after a girl from the neighborhood won a scholarship to a boarding school abroad and now spends most of the year overseas. Officially, Crookshanks is still hers. Unofficially, he's very much Sirius' cat, even if Sirius refuses to call himself his owner.

Character design is so fun, and I wanted to draw them just chilling in their living rooms to see how much character I can convey with a domestic scene and their environment. I kinda have their apartments’ floorplan in my mind now too, and I try to make the backgrounds of existing/future pics and comics accordingly. (As if anyone would pay attention to that lol.) It’s also a good opportunity to add tiny details and easter eggs, which is one of my favourite things to do.

Some time ago i participated in @moonyfest as an artist for a fanfic from very talanted @sorealis. Then i was not feeling well for a long time due to real life problems and wasn't in a right mindset for posting, but now i feel a lot better and it feels like it's time to share!
