You ever write something down not to look at it, but just to get it through your head? Like you know you'll never look at it again, but writing it down just helps you remember it? Sometimes I'll even take notes on my desk if I can't pull paper out in time before the teacher starts to talk. Then two minutes later I just erase it, without transferring to paper or anything.
