hello tumblr! figured my account has become a bit more multifandom than when i started, so i ought to make a new pinned post.
i'm eden! she/he pronouns.
i mostly post ramblings here or previews for fanfictions i'm working on.
currently, my main interests are DC, DSMP, and Slay the Princess.

writing tower & damsel right now, and even though i initially planned for this to be a crazy toxic relationship this is turning out fluffier than i expected.
still not super healthy, of course. these are princesses after all. but something about these two pushed me to write something way cuter than i anticipated
little preview snippet. as a treat.
princesses - part two (i can count i swear) this time in digital, with red and body horror. and a ton of thoughts.
@sashimew-the-cat's the Rot. it was surprisingly relaxing to draw her with all those little details, then i decided to push a little more and made the dress look like something between glass and paper. weird. uneasy. @omegarta's the Wound. A HOLE IN THE CHEST!! people say that's my thing (even my own sona had a chesthole once). there's something special about being left open by someone you trusted, eh? and all you have left if either plain hatred or cold rationalization. and that's what my visual novel, smite the knight, is going to be abo- i'm getting off track.
as you can see. abandonment is the thing that hits me right in the heart. i also love how those two mirror each other in a way.

I think people forget that Stratt amnesticized Grace with the goal that Ilyukina and Yao would be there to help him, y’know NOT DIE, and then THEY DIED before he woke up.
So like she gets the recordings and realizes Yao and Ilyukina are dead before he wakes up so he’s got no pilot, no engineer, and no memories.
And then you also have to remember that the EXISTENCE of these recordings and the fact they were accompanied by the Taumoeba means that an amnesticized Grace somehow managed to save earth without a pilot or engineer and shoddy memory that only vaguely gives him enough to work with as he works.

i've been thinking about the witch & the adversary...
there's such an interesting angle to be explore with the two of them because they're both very combative characters, but in very different ways. the adversary just wants a good fight, regardless of who wins. the witch wants to win by any means necessary, even if it's self destructive. there's something to be said there about fighting fair vs fighting dirty.
I feel like a lot of people do not remember that Witch is masking a fuck ton and is genuinely scared shitless the entire time she’s interacting with you. “All you are is fear and instinct, and that’s all I am, too!”
Just. She’s so genuinely a feral cornered animal baring her teeth to avoid being hurt and showing that she’s terrified. And she won’t admit it until you’re moments before your dying breaths, in the thick of it.
I love you, my poor, traumatized, self-loathing fool of a girl.
