⭑ TWILIGHT MOODBOARD.
TWILIGHT (2008) dir. Catherine Hardwicke
Incorrect Twilight
What kind of a place was this? Could a world really exist where ancient legends went wandering around the borders of tiny, insignificant towns, facing down mythical monsters? Did this mean every impossible fairy tale was grounded somewhere in absolute truth? Was there anything sane or normal at all, or was everything just magic and ghost stories?
Me reading twilight for the first time and trying to picture the extremely specific cars smyer described:
honestly most of the car breed knowledge I have came from Twilight
Okay but the worst part about twilight cars, from someone who does all of her own mechanics work on her car:
Smeyer obviously doesn’t know much about cars either. I’m pretty sure she just googled “fast cars” and then used a top ten list generated by Car and Driver (because how else would she know about that). Because here’s the deal: if someone wanted a really fast car, and they had a lot of money to buy them, they’d be buying specialty cars that have been tricked out, not off-the-belt Volvo’s and BMWs. The only excuse that I can think is that maybe the Cullens just like the look of these cars, and Rosalie makes them into specialty cars (like in midnight sun)… but again, for someone who knows about cars, I can’t see them choosing a BMW (they aren’t very reliable). Honestly, Edward’s Aston Martin Vanquish is the only car that really makes sense, and even that’s a stretch.
Oh, and the Audi Bella drives in BD? It’s fake lol, it doesn’t exist. Sure, it’s based on real cars, but it’s not real. Missile proof glass? Come on, smeyer, chill.
I drink to forget the missile proof glass
gonna tell my kids this was one direction
Twilight + NYT Minus Context pt 3 (or Breaking Dawn edition, apparently).
when vampires listen to music with headphones do they have to put the volume real low bc you know like enhanced hearing or whatever or is that not how it works even if it’s not that’s still a concept: edward and Bella sharing headphones and Bella complaining cause she can’t hear so Edward just gets his eardrums blasted so she can listen properly
good concept
such a beautiful day
When ur leaving the next morning from a sleepover
l love you, Dad. Forever. l love you, too, Bells. l always have and l always will.
Bella punching Jacob moodboard
alright but I wanna know how hard it was for Billy to keep the supernatural a secret from Charlie, how prepared was he for the hazards of raising a young werewolf really? the first time Jacob broke two chairs and part of the wall bc he accidentally shifted inside did he have to phsyically keep himself from calling Charlie up to complain? was Charlie calling him to lowkey complain about Edward and if so how many times did he almost slip up and say “bc he’s a fucking vampire” I demand answers
As soon as Charlie finds out the supernatural, billy gets his ass around to Charlie’s place, bringing a shit load of fish fry and and a twelvepack of beer and is like “son I have nearly two years of complaining to unpack, get ready”
actually when I was in 8th grade and obsessed with twilight my master plan as a twilight vampire was to sit around in famous shipwrecks like the super deep ones where they can only send robots with cameras from their submarines and when they sent one down i’d be sitting there, pretending to drink out of an old tea cup you know for the drama of it all and the guys in the submarine would know what they saw and that it was real footage but who else would believe them? no one important.
but it didn’t stop there. at the next party they threw to celebrate one of their latest finds, some museum-y banquet idk I was 13, I was going to show up. I was going to show up and make eye contact with them one at a time from across the room and they were going to lose their goddamn minds and then before the volturi could catch wind i was gonna be back in the ocean. how could they find me?
the drama. the theatrics. i can’t believe i didn’t realize i was gay right then but that’s another story, also involving vampires,
hate to burst your fantasy, but
1) vampires don’t show up in film
2) vampires can’t cross moving water much less sit at the bottom of the ocean
you’ve got me a in a difficult position here because on the one hand, this post is specifically about vampire lore in Twilight, so you’re wrong, but on the other hand, saying “you clearly didn’t read twilight” doesn’t exactly make you look like the bad guy here
Rosalie: It’s dark. I don’t like it.
Emmett: Don’t worry, babe, I got this.
Emmett: *stomps foot to light sketchers*
