Roxas awoke to the sound of tapping on his window.
Pushing himself up so he was sitting, the blond-haired teen looked around as he rubbed his eyes. The tapping was heard again, scaring him and causing him to let out a shout of surprise. He turned to his window, squinting and trying to make out the figure on the other side before he realized who it was.
Roxas reached out, opening the window and letting in the chilled, January air. Olette climbed inside, wearing her pajamas still, but with a coat and a pair of snow boots thrown on. “Olette? What are you doing here? It’s like three in the morning.”
The brunet girl shook her head, reaching up to tug off her hood and revealing her still sleep-tangled hair. “It’s supposed to snow! Right now it’s just sleet, but it hasn’t snowed in Twilight Town since before we were born – I wanted to see it!”
Roxas shook his head slightly, tilting it to the side in his confusion. “Why are you here, then?” Olette huffed, shrugging off her coat and pulling one of the throw blankets Roxas had folded on the end of his bed over her shoulders instead. “I wanted to see it with you! You’ve never seen snow either, right?”
The boy thought it over in his head before deciding that, no, he hadn’t, and shaking his head in response to her question.
“Exactly!” The emerald eyed girl exclaimed, rubbing her hands together. “So we’re gonna go see it together – you and me!”
“Okay, okay!” Roxas laughed, trying to calm the girl down before his parents got woken up. “We’ll go.”
That was how Roxas and Olette had spent the rest of the morning up until first light sitting in the usual spot, waiting for the snow to fall. There had been a few flurries, but nothing to throw a fit over. Olette had wound up snuggling into Roxas’s side, sound asleep with Roxas resting his cheek on his head.
Hayner had, of course, thrown a fit when he found them all snuggled up like that.
Roxas had told him to knock it off, as the other blond continued to tease the two pajama-clad teens about what they’d been doing all cuddled up like that. Olette had been blushing and had simply huffed in her irritation and stormed out the usual spot before she screamed in glee.
Roxas followed after her, confused as to what she was making noise about when he heard crunching under his sneakers. Turning to look down, he blinked at the white covered grown staring back up at him. It was the thinnest layer, but it was definitely snow.
He was startled by a sudden impact to his shoulder, along with a chill and looked up, seeing Olette making a second snowball.
“Oh, it’s on!” Roxas declared, scooping up snow and forming it into a ball to throw back at her.
It hadn’t taken long for the two of them to gang up on Hayner. Pence had taken their side when he finally arrived, too.
The four of them laughed and giggled the entire way back to their houses, and if Roxas held Olette’s hand, well, no one said anything about it.
