dana’s “it’s not about you, quit the pity party” speech pissed me the FUCK off when every waking moment of mel’s adult life (and probably childhood too) has not! been! about! her! like give her a second to grieve my gawd
heather collins would never have treated samira like that btw
Thinking about the rape survivor from earlier in the season telling Dana “He was drunk. He didn’t mean it.” And then Emma being physically assaulted by a drunk man… I AM NOT OKAY!
The way women are conditioned to blame themselves and justify men’s sickening violent behavior for their own survival in a world that won’t believe them.
I’m even more frustrated by people not picking up the ways both covert and overt misogyny are harming the women on the Pitt. This is life under patriarchy. And yes even your faves are a part of the system that’s harming them. Especially the women of color, who are also living at the intersection of patriarchy and white supremacy. They are facing threats like ICE and both overt/covert racism all the while giving their all to their work.
Aromantic complaint: I hate when in tv shows they describe love in the most basic way. I just saw a modern family clip where Phil was asking Hailey if she liked this one dude. He was like ‘well do you love him’ and she listed that she
- Cares about him
- he makes her laugh
- liked to spend time with him
Then his second question was ‘do you thinks bout him when he’s not around’ and she responded ‘yes sometimes I see something funny and I just wish he were around to see it.’ And then he fucking ‘well honey that sounds like love to me’
YKNOW WHAT ELSE IT SOUNDS LIKE?? ENJOYING ANYONES COMPANY TO THE MOST BASIC CAPACITY. THAT CANNOT BE THE ONLY QUALIFICATIONS FOR LOVE. I REFUSE. THATS IT?? THATS IT. I CANNOT ACCEPT THAT.
Like that’s what I feel about with all my friends, and my family, and distant acquaintances, and sometimes random strangers I just met. Are you telling me that I am in love with all of them?? These are simply basic indicators of human connection I fear. Idk this is just such a big pet peeve when they describe love so vaguely
I hate that I can't criticize or discuss the flaws in amatonormativity, allonormativity, marriage laws, and/or aphobia around allos without them getting defensive and upset.
“Javadi why don’t you glove up and show Dr Shamsi why you belong in the ED”
I really don’t think you all can comprehend how much this means to me. Javadi’s mom has been making her life so fucking hard with the constant belittling of her and the ED department as a whole, and we can really see the way it makes her question herself and her abilities as a doctor. So to have someone as respected and central to the ED as Robby tell her you belong here you’re one of us we need you in front of her mom must’ve been such a reassuring thing for her.
You can fuel your day with these Cashew Coconut Energy Balls. They taste great and give you energy when you need it most because they're full of healthy things like cashews, coconut, and dates.
Ingredients: 1 cup cashews. 1 cup shredded coconut. 1/2 cup dates, pitted. 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted. 1 tablespoon maple syrup. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Pinch of salt.
Instructions: Cashews, dates, shredded coconut, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt should all be put in a food processor. Process the mixture until it is well mixed and forms a ball when you press it between your fingers. Roll the mixture into about 1-teaspoon-sized balls with your hands. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to make it firm. Energy balls can be kept in the fridge for up to a week in a container that doesn't let air in.

Javadi filming the ICE incident with Jesse!!!!! thats my girl
The episodes are so much better when they actually have mohan mckay and javadi in them.
I am actually really enjoying Ogilvie being around doctors especially women who are metaphorically beating empathy into him every time he opens his mouth
Okay it was such a small moment in an absolutely insane ep, but can we talk about the scene where Roxie passes away? We don’t see her pass away on screen and that almost feels more powerful in a way because her death gets to be her own. But then the fact that there is not a single world spoken between Roxie’s husband, Robby, and Javadi and yet you know EXACTLY what each of them are thinking. You can literally see Robby asking Javadi if she’s okay with just his eyes. And him squeezing Roxie’s husband’s shoulder while Javadi’s physically trying to hold herself together I just—
So I get the whole brown mom/family thing with Javadi, but can we talk about how unprofessional dr Shamsi is. Lecturing your child in a high stress work environment where personal issues can cause you to overlook important things is crazy, and you can't even blame Javadi cause she does a great job at setting her issues aside but her mom keeps breathing down her neck.
Or the way she is constantly disrespecting not only Javadi for working in the ed, but also the entire staff. She acts like her and her family are so much higher than 'peasant' work.
Like I do not agree with Shamsi at all and I think she's a genuine shit mother to Javadi. But if you truly wanna be an asshole to your daughter, at least do it at home and not in a place where her actions can determine whether someone lives or dies.
anyway i hope victoria javadi’s mom shuts up now
HOW DARE THEY END THE EPISODE LIKE THAT.
that man better let go of Emma right now!
I’m calling it: Dr J’s TikTok of the ICE agent assaulting a healthcare worker is going to go viral
