If you or someone you know still thinks the sentence 'all lives matter' isn't racist or insensitive you're fucking stupid. Sorry not sorry but you can educate yourself on why people get so annoyed by that phrase. And to give a very simple explanation for why it is so insensitive. When you say all lives matter you shift the focus from black people to everyone should be treated well. The problem with this is that white people don't have to fear for their safety all the time. In short it is black lives matter because the other lives already have a worth in the eyes of the police and society. Generally speaking white people can get away with small crimes like jaywalking or stealing something small. Not only do black people get fined significantly more for these crimes and often get wrongfully accused of small crimes they also lose their lives over it sometimes.

Take for example a 14 year-old black kid named Cyrus who was shot in 2023 because the stor owner believed he stole water bottles. Not only did he not steal anything. Water bottles are not in any world equal to someone their life.

And this happens over and over black people either do nothing wrong or do something considered petty by the law and police/others react dramatic and treat them like dangerous weaponised criminals. This is why it is black lives that matter because their lives aren't considered worthy when the possibility of them having committed a crime comes up. White people generally get treated with dignity and respect and could even be disrespectful and still won't have to worry about their life being taken away from them.

Little reminder to people that to change app and search engine the only thing you have to do is download an app and go to the settings of the app, go to search engine and set it to the desired search engine. Because people act like the switch from chrome and google is so hard when it takes less than five minutes. Also from my experience most search engines work very similar so you can still save links or sites and change the background to whatever you like.

Can we please stop treating sapphic labels and terms as male centered. Nmlnm is not male centered it is called being inclusive and correct. The lesbian and sapphic label is non men loving non men this way it includes sapphics that don't fit into the standard gender binary whether they're agender, non binary or bigender.

Another one is the gold star lesbian label. It is not male centered to have a label that tells people you have never slept with a man. It just describes someone's life and lesbian expierence.

And if it is such an issue to add men to a meaning/description of something because according to you it centers men you have genuinely lost the plot. And in general with the wlw one it's honestly a bit transphobic to be excluding people under the non binary umbrella from the conversation.

The worst thing about the healthcare system is you can't show doctors/nurses that you know stuff about your symptoms or other healthcare subjects because then you're a hypochondriac who's just being dramatic. But you also need to thoroughly educate yourself on your symptoms and possible diagnosis because if you don't they will mistreat and lie to you.

For example when I came in for my heartrate that didn't work correctly and mentioned that I suspected pots, they did an orthostatic test measuring my bp when standing up after laying down for a while. Not only did they straight up tell me I can't have pots because my bp went up (which btw is misinformation), they also never even did anything with the symptoms I presented except for blaming anxiety. Keep in mind they had this attitude of 'oh here's another one'. To add onto that they added to the CONCLUSION of my medical dossier that it seemed most like orthostatic hypotension (that's when youre bp drops a significant amount after standing up).

Or the amount of people I see with a heart port that get nurses who don't use sterile tools and when the patient speaks up about it they lie and say that isn't necessary. Anything that goes straight to the heart should be sterile. And for anyone reading who themself have a port or know someone with one please for your or their safety be stern. Educate yourself and don't let anyone mistreat you out of laziness. Their laziness is not worth anyones health.

One thing that will never not piss me off is allistic people getting offended when you say a fact.

One time my friend texted me on tiktok saying that she had a question and she texts really slow and in many text bubbles so I always just watch tiktoks while she types her stuff. But she also tends to want me to respond before she asks the question so she's like where did u go. I in response tell her I was waiting for her to type it all out because she's a slow texter and she gets all offended by me saying this.

Like wtf I've been friends with her for years and never ever did I complain about her being a slow texter, I always just found a way to entertain myself while she's taking 5 minutes on 6 lines of a WhatsApp text. But sure when I explain myself and state a simple fact I never made fun of, annoyed you with, or made you change then I'm the rude asshole?

And she does this all the time, I'm not calling you out or being rude when I'm stating obvious facts. That just means you're not comfortable with the truth and that's not an issue of me and my behaviour but your ego being harmed.

A few reminders for Ao3 writers and readers.

- Please comment on fics, a fic has a WAY bigger chance of not getting abandoned if people comment.

- A fic is not a slowburn if it has like 10k words, I don't wanna make a minimum for it but a slow burn would be more like 100k+ words and getting together in the last 10k.

- This one is really random. Learn how to write queer smut. I could be going through fics of a ship and none of them will have any trans characters in it and as soon as there's a fic with smut one of the characters is trans or has a boyvagina/girlpenis. It's weird in my opinion. (this does not include people who genuinely headcanon them as trans).

- Don't add tags that don't fit the fic just because you want more hits. It's / or & not both.

- Stop getting angry at Ao3 for being an archive and working like a goddamn archive. You cannot go on the ao3 site, see incest, pedophilia or whatever else and then get angry when they don't remove it. You cannot restrict these type of things, because where will the line have to be drawn? Everyone has different morals and there will always be people complaining. Besides if you go on ao3 and you don't expect to see that type of shit. Tf you doing on ao3 for? Like that's you being uneducated, not the site being horrible and they don't earn money from usage, only donations so you deciding you won't use the site anymore doesn't even affect them. Yes this was targeted.

You know what for most of the time I've known Bolin I liked the guy. But I'm shifting he gets infantilised so much and he's just shit. He's constantly going after different women, in the span of three years he went after Korra, Eska, Ginger and Opal, to add onto that he also acted like a creep with Ginger and was quite superficial with some of them. he acts immature quite often, followed Kuvira an evil dictator even tho it was pretty clear she didn't have good intentions and continued to work for her after she decided she was gonna rule over the earth kingdom instead of Wu. And to add onto that immature act of him, he always has to act petty and shitty as soon as Mako disagrees, instead of having a normal conversation about his shitty behaviour. And he acts all poor and whatever but as soon as he had fame he let it rise to his head. Like I'm sorry but he's an annoying manchild.

And maybe I haven't seen tlok in too long, but the things that stayed with me the most are these moments and I think that already says a lot.

My 'too woke' take is that men scaring women they know late at night when they think they're alone is not funny. I can appreciate a prank as much as the next person but walking alone at night as a woman can be genuinely terrifying. I also understand these men don't have bad intentions and just use the benefits of the dark to scare them, but I have to read about women getting killed, raped, and harassed constantly, so if you wanna scare me or other women do it in safe environments please.

This is also not necessarily hatred towards the men, just criticism behaviour that can be harmful to women.

People are so concerned about nuclear energy cause of past disasters and nuclear waste. But here's the thing Chornobyl was a human error and Fukushima was due to a stupid location. And we can all be so concerned about nuclear waste but let's be real we have plastic in our reproductive system, nuclear waste shouldn't be your biggest concern. People die more every year due to the maintanance of wind turbines than the two nuclear disasters kill on average every year.

And to get really serious, studies estimate the premature death due to fossil fuels to be around 3.6 to 8.7 million. As long as we follow safety protocol and don't do stupid shit nuclear energy is extremely safe, clean and gains a huge amount of energy. And about the nuclear waste, you have short lasting and long lasting, this probably does depend per country tho. But in my country you have two boxes one for short lasting which is safe are a few years and this is a good amount of waste but of no concern. The long lasting is such a tiny amount per year (going off of one nuclear powerplant btw) that to fill that box it would take hundreds if not thousands of years. Like sure I can somewhat understand the concern but at the same time our planet is being polluted by fossil fuels and tons and tons of plastic. The nuclear waste won't be of much of a concern if we're going to continue polluting the earth like this, cause humanity won't exist to expierence a nuclear waste problem if it would ever exist in the first place.

And small note if you're concerned about the clouds, that's water vapor.

Stratt hate is straight up bullshit. The world was at stake and she saved it by being efficiënt, fast and not giving a shit. The only reason why you could be somewhat conflicted about Stratt is if you one don't understand her and what she was trying to do or two if you build a bond with Grace therefore things got personal.

And sure I didn't like the whole sending someone on a suicide mission without their consent either, but I also don't care enough because the entire world and technically the entire solar system and possibly surrounding ones were at stake.

The only way she would've been a horrible person is if the situation was normal. Like blowing up antarctica is a problem if you're dealing with global warming and caring for the ecosystem there, not if you're trying to prevent an extreme ice age which would cause anyone and anything to go extinct forever.

Stratt was fucking amazing, especially in the book. Like that scene in court was hot.

Hot take when your actions directly cause your fans to become horrible towards the people involved, you have a responsibility to at least try to set it right. Because I have a lot to say about Taylor Swift but a lot has already been said, but I haven't seen people talk about this.

I understand that as a celebrity you are not fully responsible for crazy fans that do crazy shit. But when you releasing a song causes an entire hate strike towards another celebrity, you should at least try to set the record straight. I have seen swifties mass unfollow and hate on Harry Styles because Taylor Swift brought out a song that was never even confirmed to be about him. Not to mention Harry was just 18 during the relationship Taylor was 22. I also wanna say that this rant is seperate from whatever opinions you have on Harry Styles, because whether you hate him or not, hating him entirely just for a song that potentially could be about him when he was barely an adult in a big age gap relationship is crazy. And he's not the only person this happens to, this is nust one I know the most context of.

Also one more thing similar to the situation, Taylor is not the misogyny victim y'all claim her to be. Maybe in the beginning of her career she had a hard start. But now she's a billionaire with insane fame and extreme fans.

I'm seeing the debate of wokeness and religion going around and I feel lkke sharing my opinion. I personally don't have a problem with religious people or any religion in particular especially due to the fact anyone can interpret their religious books differently. But I hate religion as a concept. I support people turning to a believe system to make sense of the world. I just hate what religion ineffably (pun intended) causes. Look at all the destruction in the past in that name of the christian god/jesus christ. Look at the people mixing politics and religion causing Isuffering like in islamic regimes, Israel, or even people like Trump.

My point is I'm not against religion by itself and I'm very pro freedom of religion. But humans will always take it too far. There are so many people woth religious trauma as well, because we are so extreme with religion. I don't even believe in Christianity and I still have to deal with issues cause by Christianity, whether it's internalised stuff, christian politics, or christians in the world judging my life and free will by pushing their religion onto me.

Sometimes it gets really hard to relate to Grace. Like we're both quite similar and I share a lot of traits with him and also deal with self-esteem issues. But then I remember that I'm an unemployed adult who dropped out of school twice, who has never really done anything big and he's an incredible molecular biologist and amazing science teacher working together with the greatest minds on earth and eventually doing an entire space mission, communicating with an alien and saving two stars. Like in the least self-pity way possible, I am worse than the image he has of himself.

Also the more you think about his achievements and talents the crazier his self esteem issues get.

I still don't get what Project hail mary and the Artemis II project did to me. I've always been incredibly interested in space, I just never did anything with it. I'd attentively listen during physics class whenever the subject was space, or if I saw an educational video, but would leave it at that. But since those two events something awoke in me and now I'm so much more obsessed and I actively wanna learn about it and all.

I can't sleep so here's another hot take. Toph isn't the people say she is. I love Toph and I think she's an incredible earth bender and the way she adapted to live with her disability and later invented metal bending is amazing and shows how skilled she is. But people could easily defeat her. Including Aang, including Korra and if people wanna mention how they did in fact fight, Korra had been on a 3 year hiatus, still had poison in her and had not truly recovered mentally or physically at that point (except for the poison same thing with the Kuvira fight). My point being she was nowhere near her best.

But back to Toph she puts on this god like play for fun, she probably knows some people would win from her and she most definitely knows she's not invincible. That god title is just a thing people do, when she fought Korra and talked about how good she was she was very well aware that Korra sucked in that moment and she took advantage of that.

The thing that people just don't get is that Toph puts on a performance. She is a sentimental person and she cares about people, the show and the comics have made that very clear. But she acts like she isn't whenever she can. The same thing with the being invincible thing, she was terrified during the s3 finale fight, she knew she had weaknesses that could cost her her life, but if she can she acts nonchalant about it as if it was just another day. I'm sorry I suck at explaining myself, but I just don't get how this is so hard to understand, people do this all the time. People take advantage of things like someone being very weak compared to their usual self or take advantage of the stuff people don't know to make themself look good.

And this is in no way hate to Toph, y'all just need to stop treating her like some invincible godess and treat her like the human being she is with flaws and all.

So I'd had this rant in my head about how people are not responsible for your triggers (this does not include medical ones like flashing lights) and honestly the good omens fandom have fucked up bad enough I'm gonna be specific with it.

Cause let's get one thing out of the way the ending was good, you don't have to like it and you can grieve the ending but that does not make the ending bad. And y'all need to shut up about how it was 'objectively' bad. And y'all are acting like a bunch of spoiled toddlers over this.

Second if you are a mentally ill person with a parasocial connection to the characters/show you should not be watching a show finale that could potentially be extremely harmful to you. And in the case that you do (which are quite a lot of people) you cannot put the blame on a bunch of people trying their best to make a six episode season fit in 90 minutes because a fucking asshole couldn't keep his shit in his pants. I've also heard something about the director having to private their twitter cause of the bullying which is even more prove y'all need to grow the fuck up and get over it.

Lastly these people have always been somewhat on the aroace spectrum, and were at least definitely asexual considering how their body and all that works. You can be slightly dissapointed by there being little to no physical affections, but again crying about it on the internet and acting like it's some sort of catastrophe is not the way to go. And I admit in the initial blow I was also dissapointed by it, but when I calmed down and was able to think rationally again, especially after seeing people discuss that I agreed that physical affection wasn't needed. You can disagree with me, but stop acting like physical affection is the highest form of affection, it is quite harmful to the aroace community and considering this is a very queer show, don't be a fucking hypocrite.

Quick thing before the entire fandom gets pissed off. This is not about everyone this is just about the people that are straight up disrespectful to the creators, the people blaming the creators for their mental health issues caused by the finale and the people treating the ending like it was objectively horrible.

I've seen a lot of people discuss the intelligence of Grace and Rocky and most people come to the conclusion that Rocky is more intelligent. But aren't they kinda equal, like I believe we can say that Rocky has a higher IQ. But doesn't Grace have a higher EQ. And I haven't read the book yet so maybe book Rocky is different. But Rocky seems to really think from a logical perspective. And personally I am of the belief that people praise IQ too much when there is much more to life and intelligence than logical thinking. So to me personally with Grace his emotional intelligence he compensates for what he lacks in IQ.

So I've been reading the book (I've only read 61%) and I'd like to update this post. Cause now I understand the intelligence comparison even less. The only thing that Rocky is truly smarter at is his specilisation (just like Grace), rembering since they have a photographic memory and mental maths. And he even lacks a bit of emotional intelligence (this is btw not just the understanding of emotions, but also stuff like sarcasm and social cues/rules) now of course that is just probably due to Eridian culture, cause if you're always direct you don't have to learn stuff like that. So to me they truly are on equal intelligence.

And of course most people watch only the movie but even then my points still stands, cause the buggest struggle for Grace is the language which I don't find enough of a thing to say he lacks intelligence for, especially because that is due to him not having photographic memory and because it is easier to understand for the people watching. But also it is honestly insanely impressive how fast book Grace learned the Eridian language, which suggest he probably has perfect pitch and a good memory.
