The Stratosphere was conceived by Bob Stupak, with preliminary designs by AdArt’s Charles Barnard. This circa 1990 rendering of the tower is by Jack DuBois of AdArt, taken from Barnard’s book The Magic Sign. The architect was Ned Baldwin. It was built on the site of Stupak’s Vegas World hotel.
