If they had outwardly been a man and a woman, they would have slept together ages ago. And there wouldn't be all this talk about their "transcendent" or "elevated" love. Hell, their entire concept as characters is that they've become deeply grounded, far removed from anything lofty or divine. Are you serious?
The people saying they didn't need a second, proper, tender kiss because it would have been "the same or less" are just fucking homophobes.
Including Prime.
Fuck the kiss, why the hell didn't we even get a HUG?!
They were literally dying in front of each other, and all the writers deemed acceptable was for them to hold hands for the first time in 6,000 years?
What, are hugs too sexual now? Too intimate? Not "transcendent" enough?
Have you all completely lost your bloody minds?!
The ongoing director and crew harassment is horrible. And those people may also have Tumblr accounts, but this is happening on completely different platforms. I'm tired of people posting on here implying that if you disliked the finale you probably harassed the crew too?
Stop it. Obviously it's a small minority who are very disturbed. I can hate the finale and still appreciate the crew who made it possible to see our favorite characters one last time. You have no moral superiority just because you liked the finale. And the anti go3 crew are not psychos threatening innocent people.
A month later but still feels like I just lost them. Fuck that ending so much
Years ago Terry (and ng) were asked what Crowley and Aziraphale were up to nowadays, the answer was:
Well, what they’re doing on the South Downs is sharing a cottage.
Crowley and Aziraphale. I'm sticking with that answer. The one that was agreed upon by both authors. Fuck NG.
This is definitely not about the majority (I hope) but as much as I hated the finale, I am so happy for the people who liked it. I am genuinely glad they don't have to feel the grief the rest of us do for our favorite characters killing themselves. I am jealous. But damn a lot of the people who liked it are straight up mean to us. 'Get over it/you're stupid/you don't know the characters/but you like human au's so you just choose to not like this'.
Just let us have our feelings. Please. I don't come at you telling you every reason not to like it. There's hostility on both sides of course and I can only speak of what I've encountered, but it's sad. I don't think we'll ever recover as a fandom from this huge divide.
And ANOTHER thing! Lol nah this is a big 'me' problem, but I'll never hear time after time again and enjoy it. Shoot.
They could have at least, you know, asked for God and Satan to bugger off and make the Angels and Demons retire. Heaven and Hell have a liquidation sale and close down. Cue montage of Aziraphale and Crowley somewhat begrudgingly trying to teach the angels and demons how to live on earth and not have a side because well, because they did ask for this after all. Everyone comes over to sit in the bookshop once a week AA style to hold a cup of tea and talk about their struggles while Crowley grumbles and Aziraphale's eyes glaze over. This could have been Jehoshua's purpose this time round, to heal the lingering divide between heavenly host and the legions of hell. Eventually Aziraphale and Crowley think, well this guys probably got it handled, and they buy a little cottage with a garden and make bloody well sure not to give their address out to any of their former coworkers.
Even if it didn't work, they still could have asked.
All head cannons are valid! However!
I haaate the one where people choose to believe because Crowley is a 'snake' that he can't see the stars he made because snakes have poor eyesight. Completely made up btw, never cannon. I hate that people lump more trauma on our boy. He can see his stars! Snakes can theoretically see stars they eyes just bad, but my babe is a snake demon not just a snake. Don't take that away from him too 😭
A week later and I'm still absolutely baffled that this is what they gave us. I will never understand this choice.
I am so jealous of everyone that liked that ending, truly. I'm very genuinely happy they did, it's what we should all be feeling after Wednesday! I am still gutted and angry about it. And reading that people loved/liked it feels like we're collectively looking at the 2015 dress..I see white and gold and they see blue and black. I always wanted to see it in blue and black but I never could. I want to see it 😭
I was so looking forward to watching my favorite final moments of them happy and finally together over and over throughout the coming days.
I doubt I'll ever watch that movie again. Their final moments are them actually dying. No hug no kiss no I love yous. Can't believe I'm writing that. After all this time. Wtfffffffff.
Has anyone else ever thought that Neil made up the whole 'Terry and I talked about a sequel' idea after s1 released and he saw how popular an A/C romance would be, then just milked 2 badly written sequels for $. Love to the casts and crews but this was just. Ouch. Confusing and unnecessary. Choosing s1 ending.
I want the S1 ending back
I wish I could go back to not knowing. Why do this? That ending was a tragedy and I am devastated.
Not so hot take, I love Aziraphale but there is nothing wrong in thinking that he needs to apologize, if anything at least for calling Crowley one of the bad guys, after everything. After everything!
I'm so tired of people saying that he was so innocent in all of this and even if he was manipulated he could have still went about it a different way. Just because my opinion is different doesn't mean it's wrong and I'm tired of all this hate in the fandom because of it. What happened to the good old days of discourse instead of shooting someone down right away for not agreeing with you, I'm so tired of it. I'm open to all opinions and love hearing about different views but so many people in this fandom have such a closed mind and only what they think is right, it's really sad. I love this show but I'll be glad when it's over.
aziraphale saying "do you *want* an apology in the trailer.
the emphasis on the *want.*
because how would it be enough if he apologized? if he did that dance, said the things, would it be enough?
how would an "i was wrong and you were right" have any value when these two beings are so shattered by their separation?
how could any words be enough to repair this when the circumstances are so dire?
an apology wont be enough, and they both know it.
but.
do you *want* an apology.
do you want me to offer that thing that wont be enough but could be something.
do you want me to give you something small you want, the acknowledgement of it, when I cant give you the rest yet.
do you want me to give you that little sincerity when everything is doubt.
because i will. because i love you.
Aziraphale has nothing to apologise for. He went to Heaven because he had no real choice. Just as Muriel said.
He got an offer he could not refuse.
And as he says in the trailer, he had to try and save everyone. Otherwise, how would they live with themselves.
Why would he apologise for something that he did because he had to?
#everyone has their own opinion #just because this is yours doesn't make it right #good omens #I love az but I think he absolutely has to apologize #and there's nothing wrong with that opinion #stop hating on people who think differently than you
