He’s already having an internal crisis about whether he should be happy in a normal life without chainsaw man, and then this happens. And it’s not like he can transform and prove that he’s chainsaw man because if he does Nayuta will die and I just…damn, I just want to hug Denji.

He wants to have a normal life but he also wants to be Chainsaw Man, and being Chainsaw Man means he cannot have a normal life so now, no matter how much he tries to convince himself that he got what he wanted, a part of him no longer feels a hundred percent happy that he had to give up being Chainsaw Man to live a normal life. It's incredibly sad that he can't have both of the things he desperately wants to have (a normal life and being Chainsaw Man) because having one of them would cancel out the other. He is at a point where he needs to choose between two dreams.
