6 Tricks To Help You Get Out Of Bed In The Morning
Tired of pressing your snooze button every morning? Are you having trouble getting out of bed? Well here are 6 simple tricks to help you get out of bed in the morning and help kick start your day!
1. Go to sleep only when you are tired.
People say that it is best to have a set sleeping schedule, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay in bed when you are not tired. Get up and move around if you are not tired! Tossing and turning isn’t going to help you fall asleep any faster. It is always best to fall asleep when you are tired because as time goes by, your body comes up with its own sleeping schedule. Maybe you won’t fall asleep exactly at 10 p.m. every night, but your body will eventually get accustomed to sleeping around that time.
2. Place your alarm across the room.
Don’t give yourself any excuses to press the snooze button. It’s hard to detach yourself from your bed right after your alarm sounds off. However, try placing your alarm across the room so that you are forced to get up at the sound of your alarm in order to turn it off.
3. Put a glass of water next to your bed.
Drinking a whole glass of water right after you wake up will help you wake up your digestive system and wake up your internal body to kick start your day. Plus, your body is dehydrated over the course of the night. Replenish and drink up!
4. Wash your face with cold water immediately after you get out of bed.
When you use the first 3-steps in order to get out of bed, try washing your face with cold water, as this ensures that your face is refreshed and will definitely ensure that you will not answer to the calling of your bed.
5. Have a good reason for being up early.
What’s going to help you wake up better than waking up to something you look forward to? So, do something you enjoy or think of an event that is happening later that day that you can’t wait for.
6. Do something active.
BE ACTIVE! Move around or run a mile right after you wake up. The adrenaline is going to wake you up and keep you awake for the rest of the day. This is also a good start to a healthy weight-watch diet routine.
