There is a person from the Netherlands on DOA who is trying to sell handmade DC Alberta clothes. They are asking a lot of money for items that A.) Don’t look that great and B.) Appear to be goodwill clothes….
I think I know which person the OP is talking about. The clothes look like they are really well made, BUT..... the person creating them doesn't look like she has that great of an imagination when it comes to making the clothes.

Every time I see someone gripe about how recast owners are immoral or unethical, my only reaction is to go to their blog and see just how “moral” they are. Almost invariably, being anti-recast is the only “moral” they seem to cling to, since they’re usually some combination of racist, promiscuous, pro-abortion, pirate, girl-bully or simply spreading hate-speech. Cause hey. Selling your body is dandy, but selling recast resin the SATAN.
And let's look at it the other way around. I own a recast, but I am also a huge philanthropist. I volunteer at a nursing home, helped out with the kids area in an art show for the past 3 years, participated in a college mentors program, and whenever I eat downtown, I always buy two meals, on for me and one for a homeless person. I pride myself on being a good and caring person. Just because I couldn't buy a $700 doll and instead bought a secondhand recast for $70, I don't see how that makes me a horrible person.

I have a feeling the you are completely correct. If you feel like the dolls that you have poured hundreds of dollars into and have love and cared for want to kill you, then what does that say about you as an owner?
I think you are missing the "ASIAN" part of these dolls..... I doubt the sculptors are ever thinking, "Let's make these dolls as ethnic as possible." or "Let's make a line of latino dolls!"
When I first started out in this hobby, I never charged a buyer PP fees for anything. Everyone yelled at me and told me I should, so I did. It’s been about 2 years since then, and now that I charge PP fees, everyone is yelling at me not to! What happened?

The best thing to do is to just include them in the price. So say you want $10 for an item, charge $10.50 and etc.
How did the great writers of the ages ever manage to finish their works without the inspiration of bjds to represent their characters? It’s a mystery.

Easy. They used their imagination.
I suspect my doll may be a recast but I can’t find out for sure without risking photos of her being banned from DoA.
Why should I be punished for something that isn’t my fault?

It sounds like you really love your doll if you don't want her banned. In that case, does it matter if she is or isn't? But if you are really concerned, email me at [email protected] with photos of her (hands/fingers, inside her head, and if you can risk unstringing her, the inside of an arm, leg, or chest cavity,) and I will ask some people on another site what they think and get back to you. Don't take any pictures of her face, but I'll need to know what kind she is.
