goddamnit Mejiro Ryan makes me so emotional ... I saw someone mentioning not liking her design ONCE and it has been stuck in my mind ever since guuuh ...

She's so relateable bro, how can anybody hate her? The Mejiro family is filled with so many pretty characters and Ryan couldn't help but feel inferior appearance wise, so instead of trying to catch up to them she embraced it and cut all her hair off. BUT SHE STILL YEARNS TO BE PRETTY AND IT MAKES ME SO FUCKING SAD BRO, in one of her trainee events she just stairs at a pretty dress in a store window and mutters about how it wouldnt suit her AND I GEEET IT BRO I GET IT SO BAD.

I dunno, I'm a transman and I've rejected femininity for my entire life just to prove something to everyone else, but as I've gotten older I've realised that my hypermasculinity had been performative in order to get others to accept my identity, but im a teenager now and pretty stuff just. doesn't suit me even after accepting that I can enjoy things that arent traditionally masc. Feeling ugly whilst wearing stuff you love fucking sucks. Mejiro Ryan isn't trans obviously, but she feels forced into masculinity because she doesn't suit the traditional standard of femininity and I GEEET IT BRO I GET IT. I have no waist so im built like a rectangle, my shoulders are too wide and my collarbone is too pronounced and im all sharp edges and I bought this cute shirt with a fawn on it and it genuinely just looked. awful on me. maaan.

PLUS I UNDERSTAND WHAT THE CHARACTER DESIGNERS WERE DOING WHEN THEY GAVE HER THAT WEIRD HAIRCUT. they WANTED to give her a buzz. I know they did. but she needed hair to cover where her ears should be because the designed didn't want the four ears (two human two horse) ears dilemma. and even if they somehow DID cover where the ears should be, it would still look weird because her horse ears still have fur on them.

The only thing I COULD say negatively about her is the fact her racewears shirt is skin colour so .... the first time i saw it i lowk thought she was letting them hang.

ALSO its so cute how so many of the mejiro's have matching purple eyes .. sigh ... spotting the parallels in their design is the best.
