I know it sucks and it seems like it's trivializing what happened, NGL, but honestly, dysphoric trans people often want to experience the negative parts of being the opposite sex as well as the positive ones. It's not something that is easily explained to someone who has never experienced it, but honestly, I think this is a byproduct of the dominant cultural attitude that "being a woman is suffering/a victim", which this person may have subconsciously absorbed.

So you can emphasize with him for feeling more upset that he didn't get abused by his uncle than the fact that she did. That the worst thing about his uncle abusing his own sister is that it didn't happen to both of them. But you can't understand why women are upset to see yet another post by a male talking about how he's jealous of women because other males don't abuse him the way they abuse us. The jealousy of women in the trans community is just another way misogyny manifests itself in this culture. This man is a terrible sibling I feel so sorry for his sister.
I'm not going to mince words, many feminists would probably also kill to be in said sister's position so that they could use it as leverage to be assholes to others since now they're finally personally oppressed by a penis. Plus there's no 100% foolproof evidence it actually happened since this is Reddit, after all.

That said, if you genuinely think being trans is a mental illness instead of using that as an excuse to shame people, you would also take into account that people with mental health issues often have distressing and less-than-PC thoughts that are not 100% under their control. In addition to this example, it could be said that someone with OCD who has intrusive thoughts about murdering a loved one or abusing an animal does not really want to murder someone or abuse an animal and is aware of the dissonance. Similarly, this person isn't 100% on board with their own thought process and seems distressed about it.
But nope, you gotta use this to dunk on them and claim your Innately Female Victimhood (TM). Because fuck men and trans people for not being full human beings, unlike the XX Chromosome Purity Angels with Heavenly Light Beaming from their Twats.

These people are so sick in the head. They literally can’t imagine that there are people out there who aren’t consumed by narcissistic and misogynistic perversion like they are.
Any perverse phenomenon that occurs in their movement they immediately project onto women and identify women as the source of the perversion.
This is like male religious leaders committing awful sins but identifying women’s bodies as sinful or as “the original sin”. The most ancient and primitive forms of misogynistic delusion are playing out in this movement daily. Why am I supposed to care about you if you don't care about me? Respect and empathy are a two-way street. Apparently when men and trans people act the exact same way you do, it's proof they're subhuman perverts.

What women did for men: 1. Literally invented the concept of "toxic masculinity", hyper-masculinity, and hegemonic masculinity as a way to explain the unnatural burden of harmful masculinity and help protect effeminate men, gay men, and other gender non-conforming males. 2. The first studies done on male suicide and depression were done by feminist women who were responding to the wives of soldiers complaining about the domestic violence and substance abuse of their husbands post-war. While male psychologists were employed by the government to turn men into killing machines, women were laying the foundations for what is known as PTSD and male depression. 3. The original "men's rights" movements and academic papers were created in feminist spaces in acknowledgment that the well-being of women is related to the well-being of men in their life. Men's Rights originally started as a pro-feminist movement. What women do for transwomen: 1. Currently statistically their number one supporters. And despite other males being 100% responsible for trans-death, feminist women bear the full brunt of all trans ire and hatred, rape and death threats. 2. Allowed transwomen to build an entire movement on top of classic feminist studies- gave them literally every tool, idea, concept, resource, and space we created for ourselves. And they still threaten to rape and kill us at the drop of a hat. What transwomen do for women: 1. Literally nothing. Don't even speak about women's issues outside of the things that relate to them. 2. Get angry when women speak about their sex-based issues. 3. Accuse us of wrongdoing if we don't happily listen to them talk about how they would like to be to be raped like "cis"-women. What men do for women: *gestures to the state of society*

And the fact that you all are piling on here to defend the author and villainize women for being the primary victims of sexual abuse is all I need to know about your community and what y’all really think about women.
