Hi I’m having a panic attack for some reasons and can’t quite place it. 🌚

I think something triggered me bc I was we were on the couch and for some reason I just felt the same dread I would feel the night before having to go to work. But I don’t have to go to work and even if I did I wouldn’t have been till Tuesday.

I think because I’ve been so busy with trying to find a new place, packing and unpacking and getting the old place together I never really let my emotions and nervous system catch up. I think now that im almost done with unpacking and I can chill a bit more my nervous system needs to re-regulate.

I’ve also noticed I have dread now just communicating my needs or trying to explain a situation bc I’m expecting some kind of negative or judgmental or hidden meaning response that I then have to decode. I didn’t realize how bad I assumed people have ill intentions towards me till just recently and I understand being cautious of people but I’d just straight up be paranoid bc I’d be so used to figuring out some had just been fucking with me or doing something as a set up or twisting my intentions. Like I shouldn’t have to be attempting to reregulate myself after quitting a job. I think since this is the longest Ive been at a job it’s like undoing mild brainwashing.

Like even now with talking about last job I get nervous that someone is going to text me and call me out on something I posted. When I vent to my dad about all this he has to stop me regularly because I still talk about the place as if I still work there. I’m trying so hard to keep referring to it in past tense.

like I was watching the boys and every time they showed the dynamic of working under home lander I could see similarities in my own situation at work. Obviously not to that extreme but a dictator in the workplace and everyone afraid to tell him they don’t agree with him or not go along with his views out of fear of his reaction definitely relatable.

They all came to me unprovoked to complain about the trump shit and how weird work had gotten but all of them still sitting under that man like fucking lap dogs. But I was the lightning rod I guess

I bet he’s blasting tom McDonald again now that I’m not there and they can all have fun with that. I guess that makes me feel a little better

This is a rant about a nonissue just me talking into the void

As an avid coffee enthusiast, one of my coffee shop icks is going to a new place and trying to get an iced coffee and the person behind the counter says you mean a cold brew or so you want a cold brew? Like it’s one of those semantics things. Is a cold brew not an iced coffee??? Regular house coffee over ice, it’s too damn early and too damn hot outside to be doing this right now.

I guess if you want to get really technical an iced coffee is made with hot coffee then cooled and a cold brew is actually steeped in cold water usually overnight. Cold brew is supposed to be stronger but when you have a caffeine addiction it’s honestly all the same at this point.

But the average person wouldn’t know that and these shops don’t explain that bc I don’t even think some of the baristas know the difference, they just know they have cold brew. And on top of that they don’t even offer to put the regular coffee over ice so why even bother bringing it up?

I think I’m actually mad at the lack of knowledge and the barista coming off as if I don’t know what a cold brew is. But also in the grand scheme of things correcting me didn’t matter if the only cold coffee you offer is cold brew, just gives me the cold coffee

I’m just as mad as that time I got in an argument with a barista bc she told me a dirty chai doesn’t exist and refused to add espresso to my chai tea.
