SCHOOL HIATUS.
I’m writing this on mobile so don’t mind the layout lmao, but I’m putting this blog ( and my others ) on a school ( semi? ) hiatus as I have finals coming up. I want to graduate, so, I really need to work hard now seeing how I have the first exam on Tuesday, so !!! I’ll be back after that, but my activity will drop as my other exams are in May and I need to do so much; essays etc etc. so! until then, byebye.

ℋAVING been insulted, bullied and antagonized as a child among other things, there were few things that could really get under Guren’s skin. The comment about his apparent weirdness had no effect whatsoever on him, of course, but a bleary peer downwards in the direction of the Shichikai girl – or rather, young woman, as she’d probably preferred to be called – only drew a humourless chuckle from him. Once you started participating in these war councils, you really couldn’t exactly be considered a child any more, even if some of the members in said council were younger than twenty-five. They were really sounding desperate if they were already bringing in young adults to participate in these meetings and holding positions of power. But then again, every one of them was a member of the royal families branching from the Hiiragi – Guren himself was seated right beside someone from Kuuki, but he didn’t bother to remember his name, just that he was always the one who woke him up whenever he fell asleep.
“ϒOU’RE one to talk,” he countered, running a hand through his hair as he broke into a yawn, “I could hear your munching from several meters away. You have as much respect for these meetings as I care about looking good at them.” Truth be told, he’d rather be elsewhere. Anywhere else was better than sitting in these stifling meetings since his opinion wasn’t going to be listened to, anyway. He was only here because Kureto was his direct superior, and he his ‘most loyal’ subordinate. “Come on,” he muttered eventually, walking ahead of her as he headed for the Moon Demon Company’s quarters, “we have a more IMPORTANT meeting to get to.”
drawing a deep breath, the girl quickens her pace and catches up with her superior in a second. hesitantly, however, as she just wishes to be left alone instead of hopping from place to place. it also gets her through her snacks rather fast, leaving her with nothing to eat afterwards. besides, she still is at the beginning of adulthood, being only 19. people her age should be in college, have a job, find houses or smelly flats, not this. but born in the shichikai family and being the only child left doesn’t leave her with much choice, nor does the current state of the world. but then again she should be grateful to the great hiiragi family for saving her life, or so she was often told by her parents. truthfully, the girl feels nothing towards the hiiragis. admiration, perhaps, but it remains at that. if it came down to it, she wouldn’t lay her life down just because they’d ask her to. mind you, despite being somewhat grateful to them, she still has a will && a mind of her own.
❝ mmm, they’ll scold me afterwards. I’m not important enough for such treatment though, so I guess not. ❞ a shrug is given at his words as the girl shamelessly shoves another cookie into her mouth, quietly munching on it. ❝ I mean, most is the stuff we already know. and his voice just... it’s so boring. the real important things are sent to us in reports, so I don’t even understand why we have meetings. to make friends? I don’t think so. ❞
bambi-kinder:
I’ll send a storm to capture your heart and bring you home.
( @chesselle. )
❝ tsk. I didn’t even have time to snack. ugh, well then, can’t be helped. I’ll make your death a worthy one, for the survival of humanity. ❞ she draws a breath, hand resting on the hilt of her sword and eyes on the enemy. judgying by her looks she seems innocent && playful, but she knows it’s best not to judge based on that, hence she awaits her opponent’s attacks before making a move herself.
( @tnmlnt. )
❝ ...you’re different. that’s not right. ❞ the small girl draws the sword at least half her size, movements swift && almost unable to be seen with the eye. taught to kill everything that isn’t human in the slightest, tsukiko is merely carrying out her task as a soldier. with the strength and speed of a demon, opponents are taken down easily. their cockiness often plays a big part in this; they think of humans as insects that can be trampled upon. then, perhaps, it’s not entirely accurate to call tsukiko ‘human’.
( @shinyahiirxgi. )
❝ there was nothing near the walls, sir. ❞ disappointment sounds in her voice though it shouldn’t; safety means everything especially to those unable to protect themselves. but these days tsukiko finds entertainment && ‘freedom’ in the slaughter of those huge, man-eating beasts, so it shouldn’t even be considered strange for the girl to behave in such a manner.
( @ofhauntcd. )
❝ you’re weird, y’know that. ❞ straight to the point && no sugarcoating things whatsoever. tactless, but tsukiko sees no point in being nice just because he’s above her. but that doesn’t mean she holds no respect for him; his abilities are quite well-known && she secretly looks up to him. not that she’d ever say that out loud; it’d damage her pride.
munching on a snack the smaller girl walks beside him, in her hand a paper bag almost empty- she’d been snacking during the entire meeting and didn’t bother being secretive about it, but kept as quiet as she could in order to refrain from getting scolded. ❝ I’m honestly surprised they didn’t kick you out for your attitude. you always look so bored.... ❞
