“yeah, it’s been too long.  i could definitely use kicking your butt.”  there was pure playfulness in his voice despite the fact the he was competitive and did want to kick kiki’s butt.  “how about to the beach and back?”

“Oh and what makes you so sure it isn’t going to be kicking your butt.” She crossed her arms over her chest. The girl was going to give it her all, she wanted bragging rights until the next race. “Sounds good to me.”

            ZARINA DID NOT like snow all that much, and this is exactly the reason why. she had decided to leave her little room at danville commune for one hour to run a little errand, and she was already snowed in. “ this is just perfect. “, the girl mumbled, clearly irritated by the situation ( as if the other was thrilled about being stuck ). with her arms crossed in front of her chest, zarina kept looking out of the window at the snow that was coming down fast and hard. “ settling in ? “, she asked, sighing deeply. “ had i known i’d be stuck here all night, i would have put on an extra layer of clothing. “.

A soft sigh escaped her lips. Being stuck here was far from ideal but they could make the best of it. She was sure of that. It wasn’t freezing yet at least, so they had that going for them. “It doesn’t seem like it’s going to let up anytime soon. I don’t know about you but I really don’t want to go out in that.” Staying here was definitely the best idea. “We could get lucky and we might not be here all night.” That felt like a stretch though.

 ( ⛄️ )                 “ ALRIGHT – HOW TO start ? “, penny wondered as she looked back at the other girl, her hands placed on her hips as she tried to figure out the best game plan. building a snowman was not that hard, right ? yet, at the moment, it seemed like a bit of a daunting task. “ we should probably… start by gathering snow and turning it into a ball, i suppose ? “, she reasoned, chuckling at her own words. { @blackcatxblackclothes​ }

Snow fell in soft flurries all around them, just right for a snow day. KikI was already crouched on the ground. Gathering snow in gloved hands. She offered the other girl a smile. “That’s the gist of it. How big do you want to make them?” Mini snowmen would be adorable, but then a full sized one is such a classic.

a wave of relief rushed over terence as he realized he’d chosen to approach a familiar face, in his panic he had completely missed that it was kiki he’d approached. if he wasn’t already in such a panicked state, he probably would have been embarrassed, flustered, apologizing profusely- he was just fortunate that she hadn’t called attention to his blunder. 

“well, i would tell you that i know exactly where i am. but that’d be a lie, and i’m afraid i’m not much of a liar,” he managed to laugh, despite his overall agitation. she made a point, a really good point, but he was stubborn, and maps were a hassle. “i’ll figure out how to get around, one day,” he laughed, as he moved forward to look at her map. 

Kiki still wasn’t too familiar with the city either. Every day it was starting to become more and more familiar. It was just slow going. At least the areas she frequented she had done fairly well. “No you’re not a very good liar.” She giggled. Glancing at street signs she was able to figure out exactly where they were. “Yes and until then your deliveries may be late. That seems like the worse option. Alright so we are here.” Pointing to the spot on the map her finger traced a path to the gym. Which was several blocks away. “And the fitness center is here, a good bit off track.”

           HER COMMENT CAUSED a chuckle to fall from flynn’s lips, which was accompanied by a frown. “ why would i snub you ? “, he wondered, genuinely interested in the reason why people would do that, simply because someone was from pastoral city. while flynn himself believed that magic was severely overrated, he hardly believed any of the nonsense stories people went around telling here. “ i bet it’s a great party trick. especially around here – people aren’t used to others floating around the air. “, the man snickered, eyebrows raising. when she introduced herself as kiki, flynn nodded slowly, smile still present on his features. “ the pleasure’s all mine, kiki. “, and he meant it. sort of. “ so – how do you like rome pines, huh ? it’s quite something, isn’t it ? “, and he did not necessarily mean that in a positive way.

Kiki shrugged at the question, there really wasn’t a good answer. The same reason people had snubbed her in the past before. It could’ve been her magic, it could’ve been that they just didn’t like her as a person. “I don’t know, the reason would be up to you I guess. For others I think its because I haven’t been too keen on hiding my magic, people around here haven’t exactly taken kindly to that. I’m not exactly subtle, a girl flying around on a broomstick, it’s hard to ignore. And then my ability for my delivery business so I’m going around advertising it. Well it’s just a series of choices people don’t really agree with.” She wanted to change their minds so badly. Wanted to prove they had misjudged her. “It’s not bad, it’s just an adjustment. It’s far from home, but I hope that one day that’ll change.”

“This is a joke.” Catra stated, tone even, though absolutely scathing at the same time. Leave it to today to be the worst day ever – she’d woken up in an absolutely awful mood and this was definitely just the tip of the already half capsized iceberg. For starters, Melog had woken her up about six times in the middle of the night demanding for either attention or food, or both, then she’d ripped her favorite shirt by accident while pulling it on and now… there was her coffee, all over the pavement. “An absolute joke.” she narrowed her eyes up at the person.

“I am so sorry!” Kiki was absolutely mortified that she had run into the other person. If that wasn’t bad enough coffee now trickled over the sidewalk, a tiny river between the two women. Why did she have to be such a klutz sometimes. “I should have been paying more attention. I’ll replace it I swear. You didn’t get any on you, did you?” Kiki spoke a little faster than she meant to in her flustered state.

His goggles had been slowly slipping down his forehead as he’d sank more and more into the beanbag chair, his thumbs flying over his phone screen, but at a comment, he paused, using a middle finger to push them back on top of his head where it belonged. “I assure you, it’s not.” Anyone trying to get within a foot of Don that wasn’t in his family was risking some serious wrath (mostly in the form of whingeing). He hated being touched. “However, there is a basket of blankets over there, and plenty of room in front of the fireplace.” He wasn’t in the mood to be a total dick today, so he offered an olive branch by putting out another solution. “Did you see that the Christmas star will be visible for the first time in 800 years?”

A small pout formed on Kiki's lips before he pointed out  the other blankets. "Oh… I don't know how I missed those." Clearly she was blind. Picking one out of the basket, she made herself comfortable on the floor as she cocooned herself in the blanket. The soft flickering of the fire pulled her into a content sort of trance. It was almost enough to make her sleepy. She shook her head as she looked over at him. "No I hadn't. That's neat that we live in a time when we get to see it. What exactly is the Christmas star?" It wasn't something Kiki was familiar with.

“I didn’t know you baked cookies. You might just have a new business venture on your hands,” Jessie spared a wink to her friend, hopping up to the kitchen counter where a plethora of sugar cookies sat. Taking his invitation of sharing without a second thought, the woman picked up an adorable reindeer-shaped one and bit it’s head off, “Yup, totally tastes like real reindeer.”

"I don't do it often, I was just in a baking mood. Though I might have gone a little overboard. You think so?" Perhaps if the delivery business didn't pan out she could work at a bakery. That didn't sound half bad. Kiki laughed, grabbing a cookie of her own. "You're terrible. And how do you know what reindeer tastes like."

“it is?!”  excitement took over aang’s face as she spun a ball of air into existence and then hopped on top of it, using it as his ride to zoom outside.  as he stood back up and looked up at the falling snow, the ball disappeared.  “kiki, hurry!,” he called back to the girl, not even having put on his jacket yet.  ( @blackcatxblackclothes​​ )

“Hey wait up!” Kiki called out as she watched him zoom outside. Fumbling to pull her coat on as well as grab Aang’s forgotten one. Once that was done she ran to catch up with him. “I’m here, it’s not my fault you’re faster than me.” The jacket was held out to him. “Here you’re going to freeze.”

Kiki adjusted her scarf, breath forming a cloud of mist in front of her. The day was absolutely perfect for a snow day, practically begging to go out and enjoy it. She was not about to let that go to waste. “Come on I wanna have a snowman building contest.” It was all in good nature of course. Really she just wanted to build snowmen, a little competition could make it fun.

“Oh look it’s snowing!” Kiki excitedly went over to the window for a better view. Winter had never been her favorite season, but she did enjoy watching a good snow fall. It was a part of nature that had always felt magical to Kiki. A soft content sigh left her lips as she continued to watch. “It’s just so pretty, don’t you think.”

"I'm never going to turn down cookies.” Kiki said, smiling brightly as she took on. “Though I really shouldn’t. I’m pretty sure I’ve eaten my weight in sweets these past couple days. I’m probably going to go into a sugar coma at some point.” Kiki had a bit of a sweet tooth, always a sucker for baked goods. They were just so tempting and it would be rude to refuse the offer. Her mother raised her better than that.

Kiki sat on the floor, shifting through the boxes of ornaments. She wasn’t really sure what she was looking for, the tree was just missing something. The girl couldn’t put her finger on what exactly. It would come to her eventually she was sure, but for now it was just nagging at her. Holding up a particular ornament she glanced between it and the tree, before shaking her head and putting it back. “What do you think, it still needs something. A few more candy canes maybe?”

“Absolutely, I’ve been looking forward to it.” Kiki bounced excitedly on her heels at her friend's suggestion. She loved looking at the lights people had put up, they were all so pretty. When she had been out and about she had seen the town setting up for the light show. From the glimpses she had gotten it looked to be a spectacular sight. “You know we can probably get some pretty good seats.” Kiki held up her broom as she smiled brightly, she couldn’t think of a better spot to watch it.

The snowstorm didn’t look like it was going to let up any time soon. She knew it was supposed to snow today but Kiki hadn’t expected anything like this. Looks like the rest of her deliveries weren’t getting done today. Business had actually been picking up a little due to the holiday season, hopefully this wouldn’t cause things to get too backed up. As long as the packages get delivered in a timely manner things would be okay. “Looks like we’re going to be here for a while.” Kiki said from her spot at the window, turning to look at Zarina. “Guess she should start settling in.”

Kiki blew into her hands, trying to warm up her numb fingers, Wishing now that she had actually remembered to put gloves on this morning. Nothing she could do about it now unless she went home, but that seemed like too much of a hassle. There was a small pause as she looked up at Shea, before glancing at the fireplace. It was tempting and would definitely get her warmed up quick. “What I’m doing works. Plus I hadn’t really planned on staying long.” Though it would do her some good to warm up before she left.

having just gotten a little gift from a friend, peter was feeling like… well, like himself.  seeing kiki was just an added bonus, walking over to the girl with a smirk.  “i was just thinking of how bored i was and like a gift, here you are.  feel like a race?” ( @blackcatxblackclothes  for kiki ! )

A smile crept across her face as she heard the familiar voice. “I always try to be in the right place at the right time, can't have you bored now can we.” She joked. "I'm always up for a race, I feel like we haven't done one of these in a while. So what are the rules this time?"
