2Doc AU??
🚫ABSOLUTELY NO HATE ON SHIPS🚫 I'm just gonna jump right in on this. We all know that Murdoc doesn't have a soul. That's why he is the way that he is. Murdoc obviously has some level of love for 2D, no matter how you take it. Some people ship it, some don't. So my thought is that some songs are about 2D - those who ship it often think the same. The songs I'm talking about are To Binge and She's My Collar there may be more but those are the better known. Those songs feel like Murdoc is confessing his love for 2D in a way he can without coming right out and saying it. My theory is that this is because of his lack of a soul. But I got to thinking, what if he had a soul? What would happen? Let's assume that somehow the Gorillaz still managed to become a band. Would Murdoc even consider going for 2D? I don't think so. If in this alternate universe, Murdoc still hit him with the car, I don't think Murdoc would go for him. I think he would be so OVERWHELMED with guilt that he wouldn't even try. It may just stay the same. The songs about him. The subtle hints at feelings for 2D. I think that Soul!Murdoc would be kinder to 2D. I think he would apologize everyday for what he did to him. And even if they DID end up becoming a couple, I think he would still feel guilty. Also SO INSECURE ABOUT THE AGE DIFFERENCE. Soul!Murdoc would keep commenting about how much of he's and old man - 2D would obviously tell him it's not true and he loves him. I might even make this a story, if anyone wants be too?? ~might post more head cannons about Soul!Murdoc~
