I'm dealing with sarcoidosis. It's spread to every organ. Please take care of yourselves.
Cardiac sarcoidosis is a rare, potentially fatal condition where immune cells form granulomas (clumps) in heart tissue, disrupting its electrical system and muscle function. It causes arrhythmias, heart failure, and sudden death. Treatment with steroids and immunosuppressants aims to reduce inflammation, often with a pacemaker or ICD for stability.

It causes arrhythmias, heart failure, and sudden death. Treatment with steroids and immunosuppressants aims to reduce inflammation, often with a pacemaker or ICD for stability.
Lupus is a condition that causes inflammation throughout your body. It’s an autoimmune disease, which means your immune system damages your body instead of protecting it. You may experience symptoms throughout your body depending on where your autoimmune system damages tissue.
Gout is a painful form of arthritis. When your body has extra uric acid, sharp crystals can form in your joints (usually your big toe). Flare-ups of symptoms like pain and swelling come and go in periods called gout attacks. Treatment is usually a combination of symptom management and changing your diet.
Gout most commonly affects your big toe joint. But it can affect other joints, including your:
Knees.
Ankles.
Feet.
Hands and wrists.
Elbows.
Gout symptoms come and go (recur) in episodes called flares or gout attacks. A healthcare provider will suggest medications and changes to your diet that will lower your uric acid levels and minimize how often you experience gout attacks in the future.
An illness that occurs when the immune system attacks healthy tissues and organs.
Systemic lupus erythematosus is a long-lasting, known as chronic, illness that can affect many parts of the body. These can include joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.
Symptoms can come on quickly or slowly. They can get worse for a while, then get better, which is called a flare. A common sign is a rash over the cheeks and nose in the shape of a butterfly. But not everyone gets the rash.
Treatment for systemic lupus erythematosus depends on symptoms. Medicines include pain relievers, medicines used to treat malaria, steroids, biologics and medicines that lower immune system responses.
Gout is a common and complex form of arthritis that can affect anyone. It's characterized by sudden, severe attacks of pain, swelling, redness and tenderness in one or more joints, most often in the big toe.
An attack of gout can occur suddenly, often waking you up in the middle of the night with the sensation that your big toe is on fire. The affected joint is hot, swollen and so tender that even the weight of the bedsheet on it may seem intolerable.
Requires a medical diagnosis
Symptoms include tightness or pain in the chest, neck, back, or arms, as well as fatigue, lightheadedness, abnormal heartbeat, and anxiety. Women are more likely to have atypical symptoms than men.
People may experience:
Pain areas: in the area between shoulder blades, arm, chest, jaw, left arm, or upper abdomen
Pain types: can be burning in the chest or like a clenched fist in the chest
Pain circumstances: can occur during rest
Whole body: dizziness, fatigue, lightheadedness, clammy skin, cold sweat, or sweating
Gastrointestinal: indigestion, nausea, or vomiting
Neck: discomfort or tightness
Arm: discomfort or tightness
Also common: anxiety, chest pressure, feeling of impending doom, palpitations, shortness of breath, or shoulder discomfort
The growth of tiny collections of inflammatory cells in different parts of the body.
The growths most commonly occur in the lungs, lymph nodes, eyes, and skin.
Symptoms vary, depending on the organs affected.
Sarcoidosis often goes away on its own. Minimal treatment is needed in most cases. For some, it may last for years and lead to organ damage
A group of disorders that cause red blood cells to become misshapen and break down.
With sickle cell disease, an inherited group of disorders, red blood cells contort into a sickle shape. The cells die early, leaving a shortage of healthy red blood cells (sickle cell anemia), and can block blood flow causing pain (sickle cell crisis).
Infections, pain, and fatigue are symptoms of sickle cell disease.
Treatments include medications, blood transfusions, and rarely a bone-marrow transplant.
Damage to the brain from interruption of its blood supply.
A stroke is a medical emergency.
Symptoms of stroke include trouble walking, speaking, and understanding, as well as paralysis or numbness of the face, arm, or leg.
Early treatment with medications like tPA (clot buster) can minimize brain damage. Other treatments focus on limiting complications and preventing additional strokes.
