Do stuff. Be clenched, curious. Not waiting for inspiration's shove or society's kiss on your forehead. Pay attention. It's all about paying attention. Attention is vitality. It connects you with others. It makes you eager. Stay eager.
Susan Sontag, from At the Same Time
“People think being alone makes you lonely, but I don’t think that’s true. Being surrounded by the wrong people is the loneliest thing in the world.”
— Kim Culbertson
Mucho debo a quienes no amo.
A mis amigos.
Patience doesn’t look that exciting does it? But a person with deep patience is capable of everything. The other reason we need patience with ourselves is because we constantly fall off the horse. In spiritual practise, our focus wavers from time to time, as the world pulls at us, tests us, pushes us. We also make mistakes, although from the point of view of deep patience, there aren’t any mistakes. There’s only just learning, so patience gives us the long term perspective and dissolves time.

“If you have been brutally broken, but still have the courage to be gentle to others then you deserve a love deeper than the ocean itself.”
— Nikita Gill

"Books will always be essential for some people. And bookshops are a place for those people to discover the books that will become important to them. I will never allow bookshops to vanish from this world."
