I don't even play/watch Uma Musume, but a bunch of friends and I are having discussions regarding...
Do umas count as cannibalism?
Related, due to the fact that some places allow you to legally eat roadkill, is it legal to eat roadkilled umas?
What's going on with the glue industry?
How did people of ancient times colonize europe and asia?
Where are donkeys, mules, and zebras?
Are the production of string instruments (and thus the era of Baroque and Classical music) different due to the sapience of horses?
Some discussion on Umas being a lot denser than most (if not all) other animals, thus being unable to swim?
I did the math, an uma's density is approximately 7700 kg/m^3 (for reference, a hippo is 1030 kg/m^3, and they cannot swim, they sprint in water)
Due to ethical concerns, a certain drug used in menopausal HRT likely has far worse implications...
How fast do umas age, considering horses reach maturity between the age of 4 to 6, and some reach sexual maturity in 18 months...
We've also essentially determined that Umaness is most likely an X-linked recessive genetic trait, which should mean that Umas cannot have female human children.
Also this conversation was held with @noko12 @rocafe @randomenderboi @ashokad2 @grimp-heaper @darrest

My dream collab is Arknights and NIKKE with the express intention that they give us Scarlet Black Shadow so I can be happy forever and all the strife in the world is undone for all of us as a species.
I don't know who NIKKE players would like. There's the easy choices in gun wielding characters but I also think you could have Specter in there delighting NIKKEbros with her gigantic choice shark ass and her gameplay is throwing sawblades like the ones in her weapon by hand, with the tacit understanding that she can throw those so hard that if they hit Modernia, she fucking explodes wondering just what happened. Or just straight up Amiya with a NERF Gun trying poorly to disguise the fact that she's just pretending to fire it but in reality she's just honest to god shooting Arts(tm) blasts in a setting where that shit just doesn't really happen. Don't look at her ass, though.
I don't know who they would like, but who they'd get is Ch'alter.
That is the opposite of a problem because Ch'en's ass + well proportioned dragon tail in glorious NIKKE HD might as well turn out to be the cure for erectile dysfunction, plus shooting high pressure dirty water for stupid high amounts of damage isn't out of place in NIKKE where you can get stupid high buffs to damage from such things as a maid getting horny and flustered, a bunny girl posing, and installing DOOM on enemies. You see my vision and agree.
Kal'stit I think is a shoe in, she's a got a semi-transparent dress that shows off her back, an important character, and we can have Mont3r as her 'gun'(likely a Launcher) Now, we know that Collabs in Nikke usually has two, so what's the other crossover? Wis'adel is basically already a Nikke character but if we don't want 2 launcher collab characters, then Ascalon would be easy to make sexily fitting for Nikke. Schwarz I feel like was decently popular in porn back in the day, and she does have a ranged weapon already. I'm personally biased towards Dorothy, but I don't think any other Rhine Lab character would be good for Nikke's taste. Ho'olheyak got the body for it, shame about the coat likely hiding her ass. .....Lappland?? The decadenze version especially, loses a bit of sex appeal but wolf ghosts and being a popular, emblematic character would more than make up for it. Skadi the Corrupting Heart would also be nice but she's an AU version of a character so ehhhh.
The most frustrating thing to me about the increasingly popular trend of depicting the Abyssal Hunters as a nuclear family, of a husband and wife Ulpianus and Gladiia with their two children, is that
Gladiia and Skadi are roughly the same age.
Gladiia was described as a "young Consul" in Specter the Unchained's module at the time that Laurentina became an Abyssal Hunter. From her own module, though we don't know her exact age at the time, she became an Abyssal Hunter very shortly after obtaining independence from her mother.
Skadi, meanwhile, was not a child soldier. In Path of Life, we learn that she was in fact a highly-skilled technician prior to becoming an Abyssal Hunter, skilled at her job in a way none of the other technicians could quite emulate.
Ulpianus is certainly older than both of them. He was the first Abyssal Hunter, and was already an established and renowned scientist by the time he became one. But if he's older than Skadi to a degree where he can see this woman in her 30s as a daughter, then why the fuck would he see a woman Gladiia's age as a romantic partner?
For the record, I don't think there's anything necessarily 'problematic' about either interpretation. While Ulpianus was much older than Gladiia when they first met, Gladiia is at least in her mid-30s by now; a romantic interpretation of their present-day characters is fine. It's not one I'm personally fond of, but that's just taste. Similarly, Ulpianus being old enough that he was able to be a fatherly presence in Skadi's life when she was in her 20s is also perfectly reasonable given what we know about them.
They're just not interpretations that can coexist. If Ulpianus sees Skadi as his daughter, then he also likely sees Gladiia as his daughter. If Ulpianus respects Gladiia enough that he can see her as an equal, and therefore a partner, then he cannot see someone her same age as a daughter.
They're just not interpretations that can coexist. If Ulpianus sees Skadi as his daughter, then he also likely sees Gladiia as his daughter. If Ulpianus respects Gladiia enough that he can see her as an equal, and therefore a partner, then he cannot see someone her same age as a daughter.
.....Why? Like this is just you considering their age as an end all, be all but Ulpi's status with Skadi(My dumb--affectionate--student) and Gladiia(A fellow Hunter captain, less experienced than he is but clearly has trust to her as a relative equal)

Just a funny observation, but I’ve favored doll aesthetics for years now, doll joints and stuff, and if it’s an option in a game, that’s what I go for. It’s a banger aesthetic! But now that it’s gotten popular, I realize it never once occurred to me that the fetish aspect was there, and it’s so obvious, too, complete dependence and attention plus acknowledgement being what defines a doll beyond a mere object versus being in possession of literally all the power in a relationship including the ability to give worth to the other and also take all of it — a doll that isn’t loved is just a piece of furniture — it was all there all along, but to me it always was, and still is, “this looks SICK and alchemy rocks”, so distracted was I by the idea of a bitter victim’s last chance at revenge in a fragile body that cannot have any intrinsic worth and only serves to take someone else to your grave instead of inhabiting it on your lonesome while the soul lasts, and other such concepts, that I did in fact miss Power Dynamic Fetish Expression #67 With Glowing Neon Letters. As someone who does in fact enjoy Power Dynamic Fetish.
And as someone that loves the dolls aesthetic as a fetish and just 'this shit is cool'. I never connected alchemy with dolls, that's genuinely something I never thought about. I always see dolls as being related to witchcraft and the like, maybe because I'm thinking of alchemy as flask and tubes with glowing liquid And neither is the power play dynamic for some bizarre reason. I like it purely for the look, No different that stuff like horns and wings or tattoos. Insane, I love power dynamic kink and I never thought about it in relation to dolls Maybe it's just because the implication of passivity?? I like metaphorical objectification but literal objectification is such a turn off
watching a bilibili video of a fashion designer reacting to arknights character designs and the guy’s description of mlynar fucking DESTROYED me
‘his outfit is really interesting, because it’s very business formal but also almost none of the individual items are worn properly, so overall it gives him a very downtrodden look’
Average Gacha Character:
FGO: This is Rider, Cyrus the Great, based on the real historical figure. We genderbent him into a her with big bazongas and a thing for literature. Thankfully she was added in a main story update so she has good writing.
Genshin Impact: This is Robespierre, a 17 year old cheerful politician with a passion for reform thus he has a Hydro Vision. His parents were brutally murdered in a separatist uprising. His best friend is a twink in short shorts who he is shipped with. You find out he has a hobby of collecting coins during an event.
Honkai: Star Rail: This is Gabriel, he's a Fire-Destruction civil engineer with a wrench gun. He's literally just some guy until you find out he has ties to the local criminal underworld and is secretly a Masked Fools plant.
Limbus Company: This is Perseus, a Fixer who must kill the Abnormality Stone-Gaze Queen to prevent his mother from marrying a Wing CEO. Or that's what I would say if this wasn't his alternate universe self who worked at dystopian Freddy Fazbear's.
Arknights: This is Foosball. She's a secretary turned mercenary after getting Rock Cancer because she had talent with knives. She went crazy after the war crimes and experiments but she's fine now. Probably...
Nikke: This is Jane, she's a military uniform imouto kuudere who was thrown into a metaphorical and literal meat grinder due to cyborg abuse but has now imprinted on the first person to show her kindness. Also her ass is-

Soo here's my bingo card. With some stuff I think will happen, some things that are basically pure hopium, and some other stuff that's vague enough to be checked off.
Explanation of each point beneath the cut.
I don't believe in Spider of Marriage being a WAW--Hong Lu is definitely getting a Wrath EGO and I don't think spider counts. But like how all Seasonal EGO being something that the main Sinner could get, I do think it's gonna be season pass EGO. Mirror/Branch isn't an either/or. Canto 7's was both a Fathoms and a Branch at the same time.
Ok. @dankesdarkman putting this here because I really wanna address all these points in a post rather than a reply!
(To those only seeing this post, it's in reply to "Ayin, Carmen, and the Circles of Hell Project Moon's Works.")
I'm going to start with the last point and agree that yes, I don't trust the motives of Limbus Company (the Company) either. Point is, neither do the characters. The fact that none of the Sinners really know who they're working for is a plot point we're meant to follow as they unravel it.
The ones I was talking about when bringing up the game's title were the individuals, the fifteen people on the bus. Twelve Sinners, their Manager, their Guide Vergilius, and Charon. Who are the ones either doing the character development, either for themselves or contracted by other people.
So I do actually agree with you on the Company itself, as a whole! That sure does seem to be what they're doing, especially with the way there's talk of selling monoliths as of TKT.
The thing about Dante, though... I'm gonna take that apart.
First off - "Someone who knows Ayin, directly."
I find this highly unlikely because as far as I'm aware, we SEE every single person that was close to Ayin back in Lobotomy Corporation. There may have been others who knew him at one point or another, but they would have either:
-Never fully realised what he was getting up to after he left education
-Have died in the Outskirts lab if they had followed him into Carmen's research
-Known him during the Smoke War
Any time after this is pretty much too late to get a good read on his character because that's the period in which he isn't going outside, while he is building Angela, and then after that the construction of the Facility through the extraction of his own mind and the burrowing of it into the earth... at which point the only ones to see him for ten (outsider) years would be those already in the Facility, Benjamin (who would become Hokma) and the Rabbits. Who don't actually see him, and mainly deal with Angela.
Unless we're trying to say that Benjamin is Dante, that... doesn't really work, and Benjamin is accounted for over in the Library, currently heartbroken and sorting books on Religion.
Notable is this:
If someone had known him well enough to later emulate him, then this would not be accurate. And it clearly is.
Secondly - "Someone who's done a whole lot of research on him, such as a fan."
While it's not impossible that someone could be a superfan of a researcher who became one of the leaders of the very Wings themselves... we have to look at how feasible it is.
You can see above how fragmented Ayin's life is, and also how he kept to himself with only those in the lab. We know that there was at least one person who was his biggest fan, but... hello again, Benjamin, we already know where you are.
How would one be able to research someone like Ayin? To know the exact details of his life, to the point that they're able to bring up this image during a moment of extreme emotional stress:
Ayin was the only one present for this moment. Unless this "fan" of his was somehow able to assimilate his very memories... I'd love to know how they had access to it. Like, it is a very specific moment, too.
And on top of all of that, this person would have to have a scientific mind to match or rival Ayin's own, since during the Origin of Sin node in "Yield my Flesh to Claim Their Bones" event, the time when Dante is either affected by the monolith or their memories surge up with far too much information for Dante's current amnesiac self to handle, and they clearly know the exact way that Peccatula are created and how they work - everything.
A person with a scientific mind who would be described by those in the prologue as a "big shot," as an "important person," and in the most recent event, someone who must be preserved for the "flow of this world":
The coincidences stack up.
There's two other things that I hold against the theory that Dante's simply a "fan," however.
The biggest, and to me most glaring problem, is...
Roland.
Now, if you've played or gone through Library of Ruina and actually finished the game, you'll hopefully understand what I mean by just that one name.
If not, either go back to Ruina and then come back, or take my word for it. Because:
This is a screenshot from the Library of Ruina wiki. Note the sheer scale of destruction that Roland caused.
He massacred "anyone he believed was responsible for the Pianist - Fixer Offices, Syndicates, even the Five Fingers" and this also included scientists.
If anyone at this point in time happened to be a big fan of the Founder of L-Corp, and up until the collapse of the nest that would have been a perfectly safe thing to talk about... then by the time the Pianist has appeared and been dealt with, they are now a TARGET. Their life is forfeit. Those who survived were either very smart, or part of organisations that could afford to defend themselves, or hide away before Roland was stopped and demoted.
With this being the case, I have no idea how an Ayin Fan would have survived to become Dante. If that is the case, then honestly, my respect and esteem for them is raised simply because "congratulations, you survived Orlando Furioso, who would have wanted you eviscerated."
The last point?
Isn't even a story/in-universe thing. It's simply a meta thing of - when an author has already got a character who perfectly fits the role, and who may not have finished their story, then why would they go through the effort of creating another character only fractions different to them?
Project Moon uses the characters they already have. We see that with how the core cast of Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina is the same, even though their roles are shifted. We see it with how characters keep on returning, or being referenced - Myo of the Rabbits coming back from her cameos in the Facility, so many of the "guests" of the Library coming back in either Identities or actual cameos in Limbus (or both, with the Molar Office Boatworks!).
In fact, the only one who's the "ghost" of the story in that he hasn't ever had an Identity based on him, who we haven't ever had a direct look at... is Ayin.
And the most direct we ever get of him is....
Angela's Battle Announcer, who explicitly refers to Dante as "a manager of an unknown spacetime."
And in case it's possible to mistake that as "someone who isn't Ayin"...
She also says "They were well aware that such an outcome may await them when they joined our company."
Perhaps this is merely an easter egg, as Angela is supposed to be A's secretary first and foremost, but... she certainly appears to be aware of who she's talking to.
We do actually know some characters that 'survived' Roland's rampage--I mean Dias exist and so is the T-Corp CEO which we do know that L-Corp had a hand in supporting. There's still L-Corp ex-Feathers too so that means that Roland either missed them or just didn't think they 'count' for one reason or another. And we do know that Dante is a bit of a big wig. So yeah, not unlikely that they'd be a 'fan' that survived. They were given/found somekind of head replacement relic that can make resurrect people but somehow it isn't counted as true resurrection under the City's law. Also don't we get that Carmen CG when Heathcliff distorted too? Furthermore, Dante has been shown to quite literally be able to see into other people's memories(Sinners and EGO Fathoms sure) but that isn't fullproof that's what Dante/Ayin actually exprienced. I don't disagree that there's a chance that Dante is Ayin, and your analysis provides good proof of that. I'd be personally disappointed because I don't like the idea that Ayin comes back--I think him staying as this haunting presence throughout PJMoon works is the best way narrative-wise but them being Ayin is a perfectly workable trajectory. I just think that the way that this is all constructed, that repeating it with 13(+2) fucked up individual and going around to fix their personal issues, having an Angela analogue, amnesia gambits, even the fact that they're a manager.... it's very, very suspicious. It feels so deliberate in how it's copying the Seed of Light project that I can't help but see this as them--Pre-amnesia Dante and whoever else planned this--creating an in-universe testrun prototype for a business venture or whatever evil plan they're making; We are starting from the top with getting Binah and Hokma, so we're doing things in reverse here and by narrative symbolism that could mean LimCom is trying to mirror LobCorp in an evil twin way We even have clashing aesthetic with Limbus being this semi-industrial look rather than Lobotomy's clean modernist aesthetic in their Menus. And from what very little we got from Dante before losing their memories they don't seem to be similar to how Ayin acted--even in the most negatively biased way he was portrayed more... coldly cruel than going > You dare interupt me just as I was engraving the ------.... You must be out of your... Mind you, I am assuming pre-amnesia Dante was also someone that had a hand in whatever sinister plot Limbus Company is cooking. Basically, what I'm getting at is that Ayin is Stephanette while Dante is Alfonso
