#asto speaks #cos if i were to make a limbus oc it would be him #genuinely. i really loved the great gatsby.#but i also dk anything about character design so #if i were to write it it would be something like #grew up in the backstreets (dk what district yet) but got caught up in like #some kind of experiment the local wing's doing that involved hiring/getting volunteers from the backstreets as test subjects #but that gave him enough of a cover to pretend to be a wing employee in front of daisy (child of a wing feather)#so then when the experiment ended and his clearance got revoked thats when the whole charade came down and daisy went off to marry tom #while gatsby went and got himself caught up w the thumb (syndicate w the most mob energy + access to guns)#somehow he makes a fortune fucking around in the syndicate and goes back to find daisy as jay gatsby #and then gets killed bc of course hes gna be breaking like 12 thumb rules in there somewhere #or like i guess the point where daisy runs over myrtle and gatsby decides to take the fall for her is when lcb steps in to hire him #his story is probably pretty easy to adapt to the city tbh since the whole critique of the american dream thing could probably work out #in the city's capitalist hellscape and all that
