❆ —- Weiss… was not a baker, nor a cook. She’d grown up in a home within which her meals were prepared, after all, and while she had begun making attempts to fend for herself since leaving for Beacon, it had not been a fruitful endeavor. Her intention in this case had been to create Christmas cookies. She’d set the time properly and everything, and yet… when she’d returned from her room after the alarm on her phone had run, what remained was the smell of overcooked dough alongside a young woman she had not met.

Conceal, don’t feel. “They were supposed to be…! But why? I set the time and the temperatu–” Oh. The temperature was too high. “Agh! I was going to give those cookies as gifts, so why!?” Her gaze downcast, she suddenly remembered something important.

“Oh… Did you move in here recently, by the way? It’s nice to see a girl around my age. My name is Weiss Schnee.” A curtsy followed. A sad curtsy.

                 ➤ The blade maiden watched the monologue of incomplete statements with raised eyebrows and a concerned disposition. Immediately, she was informed that the culprit was the well put together girl with white tresses. She was unsure how to offer support in the moment; a pat on the shoulder didn’t seem appropriate in this instance.

                     Now standing as the other curtsied, torso moved forward slightly, offering an unsure bow.  ❝Um- I haven’t been here too long, but... It’s very nice to meet you, Weiss; my name is Naoto Fuyumine.❞ 

                     A pause ensued, as her attention was brought towards the burned cookies- the girl’s gifts. While she was polite, she was wasn’t too keen with prolonged social interaction. However, she felt some guilt for not saving the female’s cookies earlier; she derived an idea that she hesitated to voice. ❝Perhaps I could help you make more... You wanted to give these cookies as gifts, right?❞

                Shopping had always been one of the things she never got much time to do back home - in between traveling and work, there wasn’t a lot of leisure time to spare. Now that she was here, however, it couldn’t hurt to take a look every now and then - especially with the ball looming in the extremely near future.

She had already been at it for an hour or so, plucking dresses from their racks and briefly entertaining the idea of wearing each of them, before putting them back in their place. One black dress in particular managed to catch her eye, and almost automatically, she reached out to grab it - only to quickly release her hold when she felt someone else doing the same.  “Oh no, I wasn’t - I was just looking!”

 A pause, followed by a smile. “You should go try it on! I’m sure it would look just as nice on you.”

                ❝O-oh no... I insist that you try it on...!❞

                    She pauses, hoping that she didn’t come off as pushy. Her words were a result of panic; perhaps she could have used more tact. ‘I insist that you try it on’ is quite the assertive statement, after all. The blade maiden simply didn’t have it in her to try on a dress that she may not even wear- having an audience would only make matters worse (even if it was only an audience of one).

                    ❝I don’t wear things like this usually... I’m out of my element, so the dress would be in better hands with you.❞ Loosely, her fingers intertwined with one another. This girl probably had a goal in mind that was similar to that of her own. The swordswoman did wish to attend the ball. However, it was beginning to appear like a hassle.  ❝This dress is for the ball, correct?❞

                 ❝H-Hinata...!❞

                 The swordswoman waved as she  waited outside of the ball, previously watching others enter as she waited for the one who was accompanying her. Perhaps it was silly for her entrance to be delayed by another person; it’s as if a force field had kept her from entering until the night’s other half was by her side. 

                      It was a relief to see the other female; naturally she had began wondering if she got ‘stood up’ (a phrase that she had heard frequently that night). However, Hinata had graced her with her presence- an emphasis placed on the word grace as her appearance was of regal quality. Naoto’s dress was black with a high collar and lace- only a single step above what she would normally wear. Truly,her heels were the main embellishment that set her apart from her casual self. Nevertheless, she looked at her companion with awe as a slight blush made their way onto her countenance. 

                      She’s so pretty.

                      In a flustered state, she noticed that her dress didn’t compare to the other. Should she have dressed up more? Would it be better if she strayed from her usual clothing type? Hopefully the other girl wasn’t disappointed in her lack of grandeur. 

                      ❝You... You look beautiful... I’m sorry that I’m not as... dressed up.❞

OKAY time for me to sleep because I get to take a certification exam in the morning hah. I still have a lot of replies to get to, so hopefully I’ll be able to get to them tomorrow~*~*~*

Miaou - { ♥ “Well, there are many many ways I could restock; I could dive in a dumpster, steal from others, I could buy from someone else and resell it- I mean I wouldn’t use it anyway, there’s so many things I could do. But doing all of that will not guarantee quality or that my pride will be secure thus- I.” He pauses, this way, well at least now that he thinks about it, seemed embarrassing, but there really seemed to be no other way. “Well, I was thinking… I could sort of just thinking I could wait until I meet their conditions to receive it back… Which is getting tedious. Keep in mind, I’ve only been here for two days and I’m already tired of waiting.” He needs money now.

                ❝I see... I feel the same way- tired of waiting.❞ Compared to many of the other citizens, she hadn’t been in the city for a substantial amount of time. Unfortunately, the ill feeling caused by being separated from her blade didn’t appear to be letting up any. ❝...I wouldn’t mind trying to assist you, if need be. Adjusting here is pretty difficult.❞

                ➤  The streets were chaotic- perhaps due to the impending holidays and the upcoming ball. Shoulders brushed one another as boisterous noises made it difficult for one to even hear their own thoughts. Dark hues scanned the area in front of her, attention being caught by a girl with light tresses. She couldn’t hear what she was saying, but there was a familiarity in the word- the name she continued to voice out.

                     Something about her aura provoked an odd sense of nostalgia; feet carried her towards the distraught face without hesitation. Slowly, she extended her hand towards the smaller females digits as a way to obtain her attention while displaying a sense of comfort- an act she hadn’t become familiar with until she met Nill. 

                     ❝Who... who are you calling for?❞

             She read his features, realizing that he was waiting for her to say ‘no’. Naoto hadn’t recalled him revealing too much to her; their bond was more unspoken. She looked at him, slowly shaking her head. Had he met anyone who she was familiar with yet? The swordswoman had come into the picture far after the others did... Perhaps he had already met their mutual comrades.

               ❝Have you met Heine, Mihai, or Mimi yet, Badou?❞

Miaou - { ♥ “ Well, personally I don’t really consider myself as a swordsmen. Being one would mean playing an active role. I’d like to think of myself as a merchant, a more passive role to these sort of settings- if that makes any sense.”

                ➤ He doesn’t know her. She didn’t know how this could have happened- how she was face to face with a younger version of  her comrade.They hadn’t known each other for much time, and weren’t entirely close. However, they shared a struggle and the same, terrible experiences. But, the boy in front of her presumably lacked said experiences.

                    This is Badou. ❝I... I don’t think you’ll believe me, but I truly do know you. You were much taller with longer hair- always griping about the situations you would be dragged into...❞
