But also, a significantly less serious take on the same concept: Ruby giving a powerpoint presentation on why Weiss should be the one to kill a hypothetical Hound!Ruby. one slide talks about how Weiss might get Ruby as a Summon afterwards so Ruby wouldn't really be gone. another slide just says "doomed yuri potential" in all-lowercase comic sans

dude I LOVE the idea of Blake being the Infamous Criminal of Team RWBY

like, they're in Atlas and getting arrested, right? Weiss was sheltered as shit and never got arrested for the events of the show, Ruby maybe did a small misdemeanor but nothing super major, Yang definitely has a few charges for club fights or petty crimes, but Blake? MILE LONG CRIMINAL RECORD. Breaking and entering, theft, grand larceny, assault, destruction of property, trespassing, and that's just the first HALF.

I like to imagine that Blake has been arrested quite a few times in the past (and has a HUGE distrust of the authorities and Ironwood, but that's a different post), and we know the White Fang didn't really give a shit about their identities (Blake not wearing a mask, Adam's name being known on the news), so imagine the cops looking at their previous crimes. They expect a lot from the bombshell blonde, and definitely a few crimes from the redhead who is literally biting her handcuffs, but what they DONT expect is a PARAGRAPH from the black haired quiet one. And THEN they see her name, and they go "OH SHIT" because they just arrested THE DAUGHTER OF THE CHIEFTAIN OF MENAGERIE and ADAM TAURUS' RIGHT HAND.

okay now I know this wouldn't be really plausible, but for the funnies, imagine if the cop guys read their criminal records out.

Cop: "Yang Xiao Long, destruction of property, grievous bodily harm, violent disorder."

Yang: "Checks out."

Cop: "Ruby Rose, destruction of property."

Ruby: "THAT WAS ONE TIME."

Cop: "Blake Belladonna, breaking and entering, theft, grand larceny, assault, destruction of property, trespassing-"

Cop: "-and finally, hijacking."

Time to write Vampire fanfics in my head …

I find it greatly offending how BS/Sun groupies do whatever it takes to twist the story so that it fits their agenda.

Bumbleby was planned from the concept art/early writing stages already (just look at early designs, Blake & Yang were always meant complement each other visually).

Their original Emerald Forest encounter was already flirty & playful and was most probably changed in order to give them more time to show the audience this gradually growing attraction/romance.

They also balance each other out both emotionally and in combat. Blake is a calculating and a "bigger picture" girl, whilst Yang is brash and a "here and now" type. Blake is a stealthy, more long range fighter, Yang is jumping straight in the middle of a fight with a short range fighting style. It's a Yin&Yang pairing.

There are so many diect parallels between Blake's last romantic partner and Yang (as well as Arkos & Renora), but it's also shown how even if there are similarities, those qualities - if utilised well - can be lovable. Passion does not have to consume everything in its way, it can build. Hot-headedness does not have to destroy, it can teach you how to slow down & grow. Everything Blake missed in Adam was there tenfold in Yang. She never pushed her, only showed that she's there & she's safe if Blake needed her.

It was never a question they would end up together. The only question was when.

I don't even know what's the bigger deal here, Blake finding something hard in her fish and automatically assuming it's the bottle cap that was her momento of a night out with Yang, or the implication that she found the ring a faunus princess made for a human she couldn't be with.

I can't believe Blake's immediate thought is that her bond with Yang is so fucking Fated that she could throw a bottle cap that's connected to Yang into the fucking ocean and it'd somehow find it's way back to her.

Wait, I'm having flashbacks to my desperate wish for Blake's ribbon to somehow wash up on Patch in volume 4, so Blake's so valid.

Also, Blake viewing her past self as "the one who got away" and then deciding she'd be "the one who came back"...... Poetic cinema. And like. Giving herself the same title that I think Yang also gave her.....
