It’ll be my first autumn here, I’m from Nashville.” She was tugging her debit card out of her wallet when he beat her to it, shaking her head modestly as she returned her wallet to her purse. “I was going to treat you but I guess I’m too slow. I’m Laurel. What’s your name?” She replied with a cheery grin as she extended her hand out to him.
Half smiling, Blake extended his hand to Laurel, gripping it firmly but softly. “I’ve never been to Nashville..though I hear it’s the best place to go for musicians.” The woman behind the counter returned Richard’s change and handed him the receipt with a smile. “Well how about you treat me next time?” The Brit cheekily replied, extending his arm out to her and nodded toward the open table just a few feet away. “I’m a..what do the kids call them, a ‘noob’ to Seattle as well, we should definitely stick together.
